just paid £5.08 to my egg card. Please let me keep this up as this will be great for getting rid of my debts. I am concentrating on making extra paments to my egg card and will also add payments to an online savings account to reduce my overdraft as these have the highest interest.

total PAD for today = £5.08
  • 'Hi

Can't keep up with all these posts !!!!! Welcome all newbies.

£4.00 pad to loan for me today.

Had lovely day with DS and family yesterday (walk on beach with grandchildren - yes it was freezing cold). Invited dear old dad round for dinner but his car got vandalised while he was visiting me. Cost to repair window £200 but putting it through insurance £70 excess (cheaper option). Only just calming down after my car was vandalised last month and cost me £100 to fix. So much for me scrimping and scraping to save pennies.

    Hey ho... life goes on.....

Hope you all have a good day.

    miss t

I'm going to be paying £5 plus day in pence/day off my credit card...but will make the payments monthly (plus the minimum payment of £25 that comes out monthly anyway)...

So far therefore I will have to pay £20.10 for the first 4 days of January....by the end of the month I need to have paid....£159.96 plus £25 DD = £184.96

At this rate I've worked out I will clear the credit card by Jan 2010 - which I obviously wish to beat as my 0% interest is up in May 2009, so I will attempt to change to another 0% even if only for another 9 months to be able to clear it!!!

Wish me luck....I may aim to make the payment at the beginning of each month so that it's all paid up and out of my account before I can start spending it!! :j

  • A quick question. I pay several credit cards by DD and am making small PADs in addition. Am I supposed to put the larger DD payments down as PADs? The DDs are minimum repayments and are only set up as my insurance policy against incurring charges. They would be made manually (by BACS) like my PADs, but I like the convenience of DD in case I or the Royal Mail screw up. Also, I have two fixed loans which are on DD. Should they be PADs too?

I include my DD for my credit card in my PAD, as it's a payment I am making to reduce the debt.

I don't include my loan payment as I'm not making PADs to it at the moment.
