Thanks for all the kind words about my DS. He has a raging sore throat (legit)today so I've kept him off school....wonder if it's all the stress making him poorly.
It seems such a shame that SOME schools just see kids as 'clients'. Little walking talking fodder for their league tables and results. The school I work in is in a really rough area, massive social deprivation but we have a huge sense of community and know that if children aren't happy it doesn't matter how good the facilities/lessons are they won't reach their full potential. I still don't know what to do about my DS school but will give it a long hard 'thunk' over the weekend.
Anyway...ramble over!
£15.79 for me today. the amount that was left in my account when I got paid today....gonna lose money for being home today but some things are more important.LBM 10/08 £12510.74/0 -
Morning all... my smilies are so rank compared to some of yours lol ruddy show offs :rotfl:
Anyway payemts for today are as follows
Ba2 o/d £5.00
Hal cc £3.60
Cap Uno £5.00
So total for me is.... £13.60
i recently stated in my diary on here that Hal cc suddenly upped my credit limit from £750-£1500:eek: i never requested it even mentioned it it just happened due to " good maintenance of my account" ... usually about 650 used of my credit limit.... I have to say maybe the payments they see me paying into it constantly would have possibly been something to do with it... i wonder! Not that i want it and not that i will use it although i am thinking of transferring my cap i balance over to hal balance and just having it all in one

Afternoon all
Love the chainsaw man. My DH loves using a chainsaw but I think you are in London Fag_Ash_Lil so a bit far to come otherwise he would have been your man. We used to have a house with 8 acres and it was a playground for him and his boys toys especially when the farmer we rented the fields out to for sheep brought his quad bike over. Don't you love them. (Well Hopeful1 is excused the loving men bit).
Day started well £1.60 on scratchcards so decided to play a game of bingo so that I don't get my account closed and won a line so £11.50 up on the day and able to withdraw and got paid for a mystery shop.:j:j
So paid £12.62 to Halifax CC today. It is a huge balance so even with PAD it is going to take some clearing. Oh well every bit helps.

Hiya everyone
My payment a day is £30.00. I'll keep the payments coming incase someone comes after me with that scary chainsaw. By the way, thanks to this thread I check my online banking daily to see when payments have gone in and come out - today I found an amount that shouldn't have been there. It turns out someone's set up a fraudulant direct debit - all very odd though as it's with a company I did set up a dd with. So, check your accounts often! xx0 -
Good advice, Mudbath, I am just now puzzling why I made a payment of £47.00 to Virgin energy when i have nothing to do with Virgin energy...will check it out.
Am in a bad way today - PAD £35.00 to barclaycard, but after doing sums and adding up realise cannot manage until next payday. This is worrying because I get paid on the 20th of the month! I am having almost every day as a NSD, saving my bus money etc and will put this and my PAD into my Lloyds account to clear. However, in a panic about the paltry amount left for frivolities such as travel and food after mortgage and bills have been paid this month. So [confession coming up, this is the only place I can be honest!] I have increased my overdraft to £1,500 and hope I won't need it but fear I will. Next month I will start my overtime so my February salary will be a bit happier as will March and April's. I also plan to start selling stuff on ebay, I have been inspired by all of you.
So angry and sad that i have had to take this step and ashamed that I can't manage, but at least I'm trying. An unexpected plane ticket cost £70.00 because my elderly Mum is in hospital and I need to get up North again to see her so I can be with my sister in the hospital when the consultant is there as there could be hard decisions about her subsequent care post-hospital. And I discovered last night that i can't find my passpsort!! but it is somewhere in the house I'm sure. I don't have a photo driving licence so will just have to turn the house upside down. Oh, but I might turn up lots of stuff for ebay, so there's an up side!! Also ex should give me my month money for January at the end of the month. He's supposed to pay in advance, but frankly I'm susprised to get it any time at all!! It's not lots, but it's something....
Have a great Friday - luckily was in Asda in their '3 bottles of wine for £10.00' aisle a couple of days ago before I realised how grim things really were...so at least can chill out on the sofa tonight with a nice drink!
Cheers, all!!0 -

Hi All
Thanks Hopeful - I was indeed asleep when you types ur message this morning. I woke up on the sofa with Jasper (Spaniel) licking my face.
Snug back into bed with wifey and managed not to cough.
Still feel rough, but its only a cold. Been working from home today.
Got friends round tomoz evening for a homemade curry, so hopefully will be ok for that.
Been upadting my debt tracker and my minimum payments are now below £900 a month - wahay!
Interest is still at £125 a month, but at least im reducing debt by £800 a month (including my PAD). A ive said before, have a loan finishing in March, and another in OCT, and that will free up £310 a month to snowball.
I have to say, that reading the messages here, feeling the general mood of support is fantastic.
PAD and a visit to here Is the one thing i MUST do every day (apart from wash and poo)........
My debt is big - £22,500 left - but it was bigger and it is getting significantly smaller every month. I knows its more than most and not as much as some, but it worries the hell out of me. I do have some assets to show for it - but a lot seems to have just been 'spent'.
Anyway, thank you for your support - I look forward to posting a message here in 27 months time saying : "I am now debt free!"
After all that - £2.50 for me today to HSBC CC, leaving a total of £34.870
