I use my leftover chicken in a risotto or stir fry, Yum :D

Mozzy - Another kick from me! The best one I use to go to was in a church hall, took ages to pluck up courage to go, turned out I already knew a few people!

Mummy2mygirls - Good luck training your DD, it's not long ago I did DD, bribery (buttons) worked for me ;)

Had a chilled day today, resting from yesterday as I probably did too much for someone in my condition :p . Although I have cleaned the kitchen floor, taken rubbish out, emptid d/w and other little dailies like that. Picked up DD from nursery and have spent most of the afternoon playing with her Moon Sand, somethimes I even let DD play with it :rotfl: .

Today's task is to think of something that really needs organising in your house and make a start today. What's yours?
Well, I don't think anything needs organising as such in our house, as I seem to have OCD in that area, but I do need to clean my oven; so much so that it was smoking when it was cooking this evening. I always clean the top after every use, so that bit is spotless (only because my Mum NEVER used to clean her cooker and I used to have to scrape all the food etc off it every half-term when I was a kid, she must have really loved me) But the inside is another story. I think my bottle of stardrops has only ever ventured in there once before; please Lala, don't make me do it!!!:eek::eek:

  • We have a surestart here and I don't rate it very much to be honest. We go up there once a month to get monkey weighed but I find it so cliquey there and most of the mums who go there are the sort of people who think that the world owes them a favour! We currently go to a nice playgroup which is run by the Navy Families Association and that's really good. Monkey really enjoys it and it gets us out of the house! So my advice would be definately to go to groups but you might have to try out a few before you find one you like!
As for my organisationalness, it's all gone to pot since Thursday really as I was ill and then rushed into hospital on Friday to have my appendix out so DH has been waiting on my hand and foot which is great! He's also done all the horrible jobs which I'd been putting off like cleaning the fryer out, doing the bathroom and the cupboard in our bedroom! My mum's now come down to help out so hubby can go back to work tomorrow as I can't lift anything for a few days but will definately get back on track as soon as I'm feeling better!

Grr, i did a long post yesterday and lost it   , over the weekend i cleared 2 of my kitchen hotspots, organised my, DD's and DH's wardrobes for the coming months and took everything to the charity shop, i started on my meal planner for the week and today will get started on my housework planner, have lots of baking and cake decorating to do today so will hopefully get some more time to do a few more things around the house, i really need to get DD's outdoor slide/climbing frame out and built as its causing havoc in the hall way, have been up and dressed for DD getting up the last few days so getting into the habit of it.
  • Hi all. I have had a good day today so I am celebrating with a cuppa and cake! House is looking ok - apart from bedrooms :o altho did wash bedding today :D. i did a quick sort out of a cupboard in the kitchen today while I was waiting for the kettle to boil earlier - I have started trying to do little things like this. i am hoping it will become a habit. Altho when I left lo in a room for five mins alone today he had climbed onto the back of the sofa, he was perched on the window sill (about a metre off the ground) and was wacking the living room window with the TV remote?! He is only 15 months old! How can I leave him for 2 secs??

  • Evening All

Looks like a lot of us are either being too busy to post or being lazy bums :p . Think I'm in the latter category :rotfl: .

The cleaning is ticking over although I kind of did most of it on Sunday so I need to kick myself up the bum so it doesn't pile up. Have been doing lots with DD in the afternoons after nursery so she's a happy girl :). I have a funny couple of days ahead with my mum bing in 2 different hospitals and not sure if she'll be out on fri or sat. Dad will be round for his tea if she's not home and I want to visit if she's still in fri eve and be there to help her get home either on fri or sat, all very confusing. MIL is picking up DD from nursery on fri and she's staying with her until Sat so that'll allow me to be with mum wherever she is. On thurs OH's mate is coming round with a sledge hammer to break up some concrete in the cellar, just what I need  , but at least it's the start on the new downstairs loo :j .

    Roll on next week ;)
  • Hello everyone, lets hope its all were being very busy!! :) ofcourse thats why ive not been on here!!:D

Well i have been busy with the housework, trying to get some order going....and get things organised!! I really need to sort the understairs cupboard, but also need to sort baby things out...

    Morning all!
    Wow, everyone sounds really busy!
Had quite a productive afternoon yesterday as I sent OH off to the pool to watch swimming lessons (obviously with the kids!!) so managed to get the kitchen cleaned. Took DS2 to Playgym in the afternoon then tried to convince them to ride their bikes out the front but they just wanted to watch tellly!!!!
Have just about housed all the new Christmas presents!
Cleaned out the car yesterday ... it is like driving a brand new one now, I shall have to find someone to give them a lift just to show it off

Have got veggie chilli in the slow cooker already, just washed my hair, about to straighten it then I'll take over from OH as he goes to work

Still finding it VERY difficult to wean my kids off mindless television. Still feel as if they don't want to play with me at all!!! Whenever my back is turned the telly is on. So I'm going to set out a load of toys on the living room floor for them for when they get home this afternoon and see if that can tempt them ... then it's movie night for us all tonight, we're watching Mamma Mia as the boys want to sing along.
At least DS1 isn't obsessed with his XBox - he has to earn time on it by doing lengths of breastroke at the pool!!

    Have a great day all!!!
