Well done on the toilet front GLLT, it's so much easier with one downstairs.
Gordon Bennett, my house is a state today. It's clean but not tidy. I am hoping that my friend, who hasn't been round for about 2 years, won't remember how spick and span it used to be when DS2 used to nap during the day ... those were the days ...That's Numberwang!0 -
hello everyone - well i had a very busy day yesterday - was out of the house for most of it - had toddlers then a funeral to go to which i didnt get back from till about 6. DD fell asleep in the car at about 5 so just didnt want to sleep at bed time, she went to sleep at about 9 after lots of ups and down from me and dh!! then i pasted out on the sofa - so im not sure how my house looks like a bomb has hit it!!!!!the kitchen is a right mess and the girls have managed to pull all the toys out in the living room......ohwell, its the weekend!!
Today dd1 has a party which i forgot about so havent got a present for yet so i have to pop to the the shops first (also need nappies)....So dont know how im going to get time to sort things out today either.... DD2 might stay with daddy as she will be a nightmare (in the nicest way) wanting to play with the big kids but just getting in there way... so atleast i might get to sit down at the party for a hr or so and then come back and maybe the house fairy will of been around to sort it outyou never know...........
Anyway i will catch up and sort out the makeup today as i didnt get on today (been meaning to do it for a while now anyway as im on the 100 day challenge not to buy and make up or toiletries so need to see what i have really...)
Anyway hope everyone has a nice weekend

My house is a complete tip, I went into town today with my dd and treated myself to a pot of tea and a slice of cake  then I ordered a pizza for tea as I figured I'd blown my diet today anyway:rolleyes: My OH will assemble my exercise bike tomorrow so I'll start the diet again tomorrow. I am not feeling very organised at the moment...a bit chaotic really :rotfl:old habits die hard:rolleyes:
My MIL is coming round tomorrow afternoon so I had better spruce the place up....oh, maybe I'll do it in the morning...I'm too sleeeepy!
Sunday's task is to tidy our homes0 -
I didnt do anything really this weekend apart from washing and Im going to iron them later when the kiddies are in been.
Oh Ive hoovered the downstairs and upstairs but thats it.Sarah, who is trying to make small changes :money:0 -
My house is a bit of a tip too
. I didn't get round to doing my daily to do's on thurs or fri due to feeling a bit pants, so need to pull my funger out and I'll rope DH in on the act (when he gets up  ). Yesterday was a bit of an odd day. The weather in the morning turned out lovely and sunny so DD and I were able to go to the library, park and do a bit of local shopping
. In the afternoon we had tesco and virgin round, DD cracked her head open by bouncing off the bed and onto a radiator  , and DH fell half way down the stairs whilst holding DD. All bumps and bruises ok now  .
So, Today is catching up day......
Clean kitchen floor, clean bathroom, dust and clean laminate in lounge.
Of my to do lists this is what I've managed to do......
This weeks to do list is.....
1. Paint 2 doors so OH can put then back up. NOT DONEPriority for next week
2. Sort through the magazine wicker box thingie which has god knows what else other than magazines DONE
3. Sort out kitchen cupboard which hides all my electrical must have purchases. I've recently got a slow cooker and need a crow bar to get it in there so somethings gotta go. DONE
Still on my longer term to do list is...
1. Get photo's printed up from the past 3.4 years and into photo albums. (I have a dispute with Snapfish so am not starting this one until sorted.) DISPUTE SORTED :j Will move this one up to my weekly task as it's an easy one to do when I'm too big to move
2. Declutter the 8 drawer unit in the hall. Did the 1st and worst drawer this week :j , only 7 to go  .
3. Ebay the few dozen or so things I have and keep on top of Ebaying as and when it surfaces. Again will do this when I'm too huge to move
4. Redecorate DD's new bedroom ready for new baby to go into her old one.
5. Keep nagging my husband plumber to install the downstairs toilet. Slightly more work involved than just installing a toilet but it has got to be done before baby arrives in 15 weeks! OH's mate coming this week to start digging in cellar :j  :T
So despite my house not being clean it's not bad progress really :rotfl: . Onwards and upwards girls  .0 -

I am sitting having a cuppa just now :coffee: because I have cleaned the bathroom, kitchen, hoovered, made soup, done 2 loads of laundry and when my MIL arrives we are going to Tesco to get the weekly shopping.
My exercise bike has been assembled so I'll get on it tonight in front of the tv

Hi all
Have just got back from IKEA - it's been an all-dayer! We haven't been since we moved, so there was plenty to get and loads to look at. Now have plenty of ideas as to what we're going to do to the house, which is stuck in the late 80s/early 90s.
Bought some furniture for DDs room, and some bits and pieces to make it more like what she calls a 'fairy bedroom' - ie. a net canopy for over the bed, crystal light fitting and a white curtain pole. Need to crack on with the decorating and recarpeting now as we're hoping to get it done before baby arrives in 8 weeks or so...
Not so good was the lack of Trofast....well, they had some, but not the frame we were looking for. Having said that, until we saw it we weren't sure what style we wanted, so couldn't really check availability online. Shame really, we'll have to go back
Managed to spend quite a bit in the Market Hall (always dangerous!), and have some great storage for the bathroom.
Thanks for recommendations that the MK IKEA is good - we found it far better than the Bristol one. Loads more parking for a start!
Did loads around the house yesterday, and managed to get quite a bit of mending done - buttons, small tears, that kind of thing.
Done nothing around the house today, but will be very good tomorrow...promise!
Hope you all have a great evening, and don't overdo it on the exercise bike Lalaladybird....
Take care all

Well done Lala, Morganb and Ishtar on a productive day :T . Hope everyone has had a nice weekend.
I've been busy too. I've didn't really do what I intended to do though. I cleaned the bathroom, dusted and hoovered bedrooms, changed bedding and did 3 loads of washing. OH took DD up to his mums for a couple of hours so I could get on with things. OH and I finally started painting the 2 doors which need to be moved out of the cellar ready for his mate to start digging on thurs. It only took 20 mins so we'll do this each night this week and then they can be back on the hinges by weekend :T (it's only taken about 6 months for us to do this btw  ).
I have a funny week ahead so my cleaning routine is shot so I've done the upstairs today and will do downstairs on mon and wed. Car is in for a service on tues and I'm potentially on call for my mum who is in hosp thurs/fri.
So I'm not gonna set myself anything to do other than my must do cleaning. The only thing I'll do is the door painting. Anything else is a bonus.
I need activites for DD on 3 afternoons. She's been asking to make choc cakes from her recipe book she got for xmas, the moon sand set she got for xmas hasn't been opened yet (wonder why  ?!) and perhaps do some painting. If it's nice we'll get out and about too, even if it's just in the garden.
Hope everyone has a lovely week
EDIT: I know this is slightly OT but just wanted to let other pregnant ladies about this thread. Basically if your due date is 6th April 2009 or later you'll be getting £190 :j :j :j :j :j :j0 -
Wow! Well done all on a productive day!
I have done my dailies, and tidied my house today. The living room, kitchens and bedrooms. I have also laid some laminate flooring (cheating adhesive planks) in my tiny toilet and it was so hard! OH was going to do it but I wanted to give it a go as it looked easy! ha ha! Next time I will definitely let him do it!
It was cutting the shapes around the toilet, plus none of the walls are straight in the room so there is no guiding edge! Nightmare! Looks so much better now though, yukky dark brown tiles, to lovely beech effect laminate! It took so long I didn't have time for my daily walk though, so will have to go further tomorrow.
Stewed loads of fruit to freeze for DD puddings for the week, I'm glad I got round to it as the fruit wouldn't of lasted much longer.
Also managed to lounge around on the sofa this eve and watch wife swap on youtube, and ate bourbons!! Yes it is 'that' time of the month- how did you guess!0
