  • I did 10 minutes on my exercise bike then I was exhausted :rotfl:I'll build up slowly ;)

I did the food shopping yesterday afternoon at Sainsbury's and it was packed  huge queues at the tills....I got a trolley load for £60 though so I was happy with that. I bought the basics potatoes but it is a massive bag and I don't want to waste any so any ideas how I can use them all up? I'll need to freeze them, once cooked into something, because where I have to store them I end up with sprouting potatoes by the end of the week....I'm thinking of mash, cheesy mash, leek and potato soup.....em, and I have run out of ideas

I just need to do my dailies today as I'm fairly on top of things :D Making a shepherds pie for dinner.

My OH washed the dishes last night :j but he used cold water to save wasting money on hot water  but I don't think that can be hygienic...what do you think?

Today's task is to think of something that really needs organising in your house and make a start today. What's yours?

    hello ladies :hello:

sorry but i was seriously busy with cleaning and tidying the last few days - we had a viewer on saturday - no feedback yet

and then on sunday i needed a day off :D

today in the morning ds came to my bed at 6.30 (i was kind of awake anyways) and said he wanted to sleep in my bed  - never happened before. i knew it would be only for a few minutes so we snuggled up. 2min later i heard dd crying so i called her in too; but she was so upset because she couldn't find her pooh bear in her bed. ds got up and got it for her ... 5 min peace ... then the horde trampled downstairs. when i came 5 min later i was told by my 4.5 year old 'no worries mummy, i've got everything under control.' - he found the slippers for both and helped putting them on, he turned all the lights on, he turned the tv on - all set :D

i was just looking for a local playgroup to take the kiddies to - how do you find one?!?!?!?!?!?!? - i remember i visited one years ago but i wasn't overly impressed - they all were so cliquey  - they do like softplay but that's rather expensive

i have a rather boring list today
    wm
    td
    dw
microwave! (spilled milk earlier :o )
    sweep floors
    sort one cupboard!

and i need to find an easypeasy muffin recipe to do with the kids!

Childcare link helped me find a playgroup that I could leave my DD at for a few hours from when she was 2.5.

If you are just looking for a drop in for an hour and stay with them kind of thing, then I'd look on notice boards of your local library, church hall, clinic, that kind of thing. Netmums might be a good place to look for this too.

    HTH :)

I have work this afternoon, but will have to leave around 11 for the bus that goes via the moon before it actually gets to the shopping centre! Managed to put on washing, filled the dishwasher and made all the beds. Still got massive ironing to do, but might tackle that tonight after homework with the boys. Day off tomorrow and Wednesday so hopefully will get caught up, have a small cupboard in living room so will try to organise that later

Netmums website is fab for this sort of info...you register and can access your local group webpage and it lists all the playgroups etc.

ETA....just noticed that Girl least likely to has already mentioned it!
  • Mozzy you could always ask your health visitor aswell she should have a list of all the local toddler groups etc and also see if you have a surestart in your area, they have drop in centres and toddler time etc etc....search on the internet and you might find one near you - not that i have been myself but heard lots of good things about them....

Today i have been to the bank and also to adli to get some potatoes etc as they are nice and cheap!! Paid some extra money of the cc and also sorted out my isa so i can save some money in there! Got to save some up for when dh has time of for paternity leave - they get £107 a week but it wont cover bills etc so hopeing i can save lots!!

    Today i want to
    * do wm atleast once and put away dry clothes
    * wash up as dh cooked last night and likes to use everything in the kitchen and i couldnt face it last night!!!
    * sort atleast a few things for baby.....keep/ebay/charity shop...
    * check out flylady and do atleast level one!
    * Sweep kitchen and hallway floor.

Trying to potty train dd and she is so sure she should only do a wee in her nappy and wont even think about doing it in the potty!!! Trying to tell her its good to do it in there but not doing to well so will see how upset she gets again today.......

Hope your all having a good day

thanks for all the tips - i tried netmums but nothing available for the times i want.
but on surestart i found a link to a nearby community center - so might be brave enough and pop in on them ... please someone give me a kick!
it's always rather daunting to turn up somewhere for the first time :o

good luck mummy2!! i am still trying to convience dd to do her nr.2 in the potty/toilet - she won't have any of it and rather hold it in for days

Here is a kick ...KICK!! :D I go to a Surestart centre and it is the best thing we do all week - and it is free :D So go!!!! and I always make myself go and sit near some people when I walk in to a new group (I have tried lots and go to the best ones every week!)- don't sit the other side of the room - no one will talk to you! You often have to make the 1st move - scary ... but mums don't bite! :rotfl:
