Just got email staying that my broadband is active! Ordered Tuesday, modem arrived next day, activated a day after. 2 days in total, not bad!

    Topcashback is still paying £70

Not bad at all - I'm jealous! Hope mine is activated before Tuesday - would be great to have it up and running for the weekend.

Maybe just for today only by this message on the topcashback site:
    Please Note

    Expires on 14 May 2009

  • I used the postcode checker on the 02 site to see if it was available in my area and they said it was. Does this still mean it could just be the access package (which I dont want)? I cant enter a phone number yet as its a new build house and we havent moved in yet.
I have autistic spectrum disorder which is a social communication disorder so please be patient with me.

In addition to meinnit's idea you can also try the address (or very close if the new development isn't showing) at

which should ALSO give an idea of POSSIBLE speed too!

You don't actually need your MAC when you apply, you can let o2 have it later.

I was wavering & thinking of staying with AOL, but O2 is looking good :-)
