I'm currently paying Ukonline £19.99 a month, but could get O2 on the £9.79 deal as I'm out contract.
Looking around it seems only good things are being said about O2's home broadband, so I reckon I'm going to give it a go.
Is there are reason that people can think of why I shouldn't change ?
is this a trick question:money:

I was just wondering if anyone would say, well Ukonline have this or that and O2 don't, but it just seems like there really is no reason to stay with Ukonline.0

my transfer is going through (touch wood) after a mess up of MAC codes given by Sky. Called Sky up to verify the MAC code I gave to O2 was right, and for the first time since requesting the MAC code, i got a rather persuasive person on the other end asking me why i'm leaving, and that I can still keep my phone with Sky - £2 cheaper line rental ??? He almost sold me on to staying with them, at least for the landline (i'm with BT at the moment) but i said I'll think about it.
Just wondering , are people keeping their phones with BT or are there any other cheaper landline providers out there? Bearing in mind i dont make that many landline calls anyway, apart from the odd 0844 number for international calls.0 -
I'm an O2 Simplicity customer and I didn't see this deal so I missed it.
You think I can get this over the phone still?0 -

Mine was very easy to do.
Rung Ukonline, no trying to talk me out of it or offering me anything. I asked for the MAC code, she said no problem, what email address would you like it sent to and it was sent by the time the 3 min call had ended. They were also helpful in explaining what would happen.
I then went onto the O2 website and signed up there and then with the MAC code.
Also went via quidco for £50 cashback in the future at least, I hope.
EDIT........Just looked at my quidco account and it is showing £60 cashback tracked. I know it was £60 in May, so it possibly still is.0 -
That has happened to others with the cashback when ordering during a change of offer so you should get the £60. It will be paid promptly 3 months into your contract with o2.0

Not that the tenner matters to much, but it's just another little plus in switching. I'll be saving £120 a year anyway, just for switching.0
