any O2 contract or PAYG is eligible for the broadband discount.
I was getting confused because on PAYG you are required to top up by a minimum of £10 every month. Would a payment of less than £10 (£9.79) pay monthly make me eligible?
ThanksI wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T0 -

The PAYG top up is £10 every three months. Any O2 monthly contract qualifies you for the discounted rate. see here:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Had another niggle this morning, it wouldn't let me access several of my regular websites, including the O2 site, seems I wasn't the only one again with issues.
Might plug back in my actiontec router.0 -
I haven't had any problems accessing websites
But when downloading things usually it would be around 750-900kB/s but last few days has been 500-750kB/s range - sync is same in router settings0 -
It appears that the BBC Iplayer problem is now fixed, access available from last night, with no change of IP address, so that's good news.0

Looked at the 02 monthly charge for bb of £7.34 and Martin's suggestion to get this rate of applying for free sim card for PAYG for mobile phone top up every 3 months which seems very reasonable. Went on Martin's link to 02 site and read the various t + c's and it seems to me that it's not for PAYG top up £10 every 3 months as per Martin's piece but 02 unlimited. Or have I read it completely wrong
. Has anyone taken advantage of Martin's suggestion?

it is definately £10 every 3 months
so you top up £10 x 4 = £40
and save £5 x 12 = £60

The details of the minimum top-up requirements are:
The O2 Pay & Go mobile used to qualify for the discounted Home Broadband is topped-up by a total at least £10 in the three month period prior to each month’s Home Broadband top-up date (this will always be 3 days before your broadband bill date). This means that if you are due to receive your Home Broadband bill on 4th of each month, then you must make sure your Pay & Go mobile is topped up a total of at least £10 in the three months prior to the 1st of each month (your Home Broadband Top Up Date)0 -
Been on O2 broadband for nearly a month without issues. Was activated on the day they said it would. Im glad I moved away from Sky, as it seems sky have put really stupid caps on the basic and mid range packages (2Gb and 4Gb downloads a month !!!!).0
