Just moved house and sick of download limits with payg mobile broadband. Was going to go with o2 for broadband anyway as BT are useless (they limit download speeds in the day but deny this, even though it is obvious they do.) Phoned up on Thursday to order it and they told me about the deal, which made it all the sweeter!!! :D

Switched to o2 from Tiscali even though not o2 mobile customer (yet - may change now!), completed a week after signing up, downtime was 4 hours on transfer day, but well worth wait - now have 3 times faster download speeds. Whole process so smooth and kept informed at every stage. And £70 cash back from Quidco pretty nice too. Long may it continue!
2008 wins. DVD player together with Now quiz/Now 2008 DVDs,£25.00 Real People, pair of tickets for London Eye.

Looking at the website. It says you have to be o2 customer. Been told that i can take out a PAYG sim card and top up £10 every three months. The question is when do i top up? At the start or after the two months free has past?
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D

Am aware that you need to have BT line rental. What happens if your calls are through a different provider such as Talk Talk? The shop says your calls should be through BT but the customer service says it does not matter. Have inputted my phone number on the website and it says it is ok for the basic broadband.

    Try looking at T&C :D

    5 Pay & Go Customers - Minimum Top-Up Requirement

5.2 The details of the minimum top-up requirements are:
The O2 Pay & Go mobile used to qualify for the discounted Home Broadband is topped-up by a total at least £10 in the three month period prior to each month’s Home Broadband top-up date (this will always be 3 days before your broadband bill date). This means that if you are due to receive your Home Broadband bill on 4th of each month, then you must make sure your Pay & Go mobile is topped up a total of at least £10 in the three months prior to the 1st of each month (your Home Broadband Top Up Date)

It only needs to be a BT compatible line eg Post Office, and it does not matter if your with BT who your call supplier is. But whats the advantage of having your calls with Talk Talk.

There are six family homes who have their calls through talk talk. Ringing each other on the basic package is free. Has made a huge drop in our phone bills.

They will text you on the o2 mobile when you need to top up and if you don't you only lose the reduction for that month provided you top up for the following month. You can put your calls though another provider and don't forget to go through Quidco.
