Called Barclays 'New Account Helpline' on freephone 0500 007234.

Chose option 4. The helpful girl took my account details and then checked to make sure I was eligible for the £100.

Great news is she came back to confirm that I will receive the £100. This will be credited 28 calendar days after my second deposit of £1,000 was made.

I did double check with her that it was calendar days and not working days - she confirmed again it was 28 calendar days.

So, I should get my £100 during week commencing 10/4.

I pointed out that they therefore changed the terms & conditions between me applying & the account opening without informing me.
I now have a complaint ref number & they will reply in 5 days :mad:

I applied on 18th and was told on the phone that I am on the list for the £100 , not had it yet and not holding my breath for it. I have put a complaint in as they have put 2 searches on my credit file and they said 1 was to verify who I am even though it was 12 days after I applied and the same time I was asked to take ID in to also verify who I am.Waiting to hear from my complaint as I think it will make interesting reading especially if they try to twist there terms and conditions.
I know someone has already posted the full terms and conditions on this thread but there are so many pages to go back through.Can someone post them again please ? As I think we are going to read quite a few ' get outs ' by Barclays.

Following my earlier post I phoned the 0500 number. Like JCL above I pressed option 4, spoke to a guy who went away and checked that I was on the list to get the £100. He came back and said that I was there so that's a relief.

However, just to prove that they still don't know what they're doing, he said that it would be paid in 28 WORKING days (not calendar days as JCL was told) !!

So, it does appear that they have a list of people entitled to the money that they can check pretty quickly, but they're still unsure what the timeframe is (different answers from different reps).

£100 Online Cash Offer: Terms & conditions
1. These terms and conditions apply to the £100 Online Cash Offer. Participation in this offer is deemed acceptance of them.

That's in breach of T&C as it states 28 days, what next, will they try to say it's 28 Sundays - that's a month of Sundays lol!

Eh? How exactly would that be a breach?

I take 28 calendar days to mean exactly that. 28 days.

does this condition take into account the delay that was caused by the sheer number of applications made in less than 24 hrs?
