LOL you don't need to read the whole thread, just the first page!! The whole point of the offer is that you need to open a new Barclays a/c to get it - see http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1137572726,94211.

The offer closed in January though, so I'm afraid its long gone - sorry

I am now approx 40 days after the 2nd £1000, so please dont hold you breath.

12 days since my complaint which has been confirmed as being received and due to be dealt with.

Now paying a 3rd £1000 in, just in case the excuse is that although i made a payment in January then February, they may state they were too close together.

Have to cover all bases !!

Account was opened on 1st Feb. First deposit 6th Feb second on 6th March. Letter says 'Barclays will honour the £100 offer that was available when your current account was opened using our on line banking website. As you have already credited your account with payments of £1000 in February and March the £100 should be credited to your account by 1st April. If you have not received this payment by then please contact me on 0845 etc and I will arrange for this to be done for you.

WOW i got a whole 1p interest on my £1.000's credited now I'm in the difficult position of working out how to spend it :rotfl:

LOL - I doubled that - a whole tuppence! Guess I must have left it lying in the account for a couple of days too long!
