Do people agree that I have just missed the first month deadline for the first £1000?

Sorry you've missed the first deadline.
If so, did the t&c state the two deposits had to be within the first 2 months? Or would it be two deposits in any two conesecutive months?

It was first deposit in the first month.
    Sorry but you've missed it.

Just spoken to the helpdesk on the 0500 number. They have checked my account and say I am eligible for the £100. So will wait for the 28 days to be up on 10/04/06. Fingers crossed...

It's now becoming like a race to see who (if anybody) gets their £100 first! Mine is supposedly due on 30 March.............

28 days from 2nd payment is tomorrow for my OH.

Just spotted earlier post from Chesky 369, which says it is 28 working days, so another week to wait then.

    Applied for account 18th Jan
    Account opened 10th Feb
    Made deposits
Called Barclays to find out when I'll get the £100
Their saying because I appiled on the 18th & the offer was withdrawn on the 19th Jan before my account was opened on 10th feb I'm not going to get the money.
I pointed out that they therefore changed the terms & conditions between me applying & the account opening without informing me.
I now have a complaint ref number & they will reply in 5 days

Bye the way I had to call 4 numbers & speek to 6 people to get that far,
    50 minutes of my time!!!

    scl,

Can't say for definite but you should be OK as you applied before the offer was closed.

    Keep going on the complaint.

Yes, sometimes these offers do take a lot of effort.

If you have the potential to earn decent money then you have to weigh up your time against the savings.
For some people they would be better off putting the time into their business or getting a better mortgage.

Yes, as I said before there is a prize -- a cash prize -- for the first person to get their bribe.
Expect the worst & hope for the best...

    scl,

I also applied online on the evening of 18th Jan. My credit checks were fine there and then (no need to produce any info in a branch etc) and it took a couple of weeks to get all my account details through. I've since deposited my £1000 on 10th Feb and 13th March and am expecting my £100 by either 10th Apr or 21 Apr if it is 28 working days (can't recall which it said in the t&c's). But now I read your post #827 and I start to worry. Surely there is no way that they can play a trick like that ?? You clicked the offer link on their website and proceeded in good faith. How were you (or me) to know that they would cancel it the day after. Your qualification must surely be judged on the day (and means by which) you applied not when the green light was given on the account.

Please post here the outcome of your complaint as I for one am EXTREMELY interested in how it pans out. I'll be gobsmacked (and furious) if they fail to pay up.

    Thanks in advance,

    Des

Dont worry as soon as I hear anything from them I'll be straight on here to report in.

I take it no one has actually got the money yet?

    BTW - I applied on the 18th.
I complained and I have it in writing that they will pay the £100 as long as I meet the conditions.
First deposit has already gone in.

I think that legally spaeking there is no way there can get out of it.
If you are prepared to go all the way (ombudsman) then I think you have the law on your side.
