I applied for this account on 18th January at 10am when I applied it was offering the £100 on the screen.I got the standard 10 day delay email that a lot seem to of recieved and I was also asked to take ID into a branch .I have paid in 2 x £1000 according to there T&C but after reading of all the problems people are having I have just decided to phone them I was told .........I had applied in time .... asking for me to take ID into a branch was standard procedure and my account will still be classed as being opened online but this account must of been actually opened by 3rd March ....as long as I have paid the 2nd £1000 into my account within 28 days of the first payment then I will recieve the £100 paid into my account 28 days after the 2nd £1000 was credited to my account if it is not there then to ring the 0500 number and they will do the transfer manually ...don't know if this information is of any use to anyone or if anyone can see any discrepencies in what they have told me ?Wish I could stop editing EVERY post I make :mad:0

and it seemed to me the result will depend on being able to prove mt online application
was done before that date.
SO why not get your credit report and look for the search?
That proves it doesn't it.0 -

Having applied successfully during the evening of Wednesday 18 January, I wrote to Barclays asking for confirmation of my eligibility for the offer and they responded by telephone and in a follow-up letter.
A trouble-free experience as far as I am concerned.0 -

the paying in the 2nd £1000 within 28 days of the first payment is a new one. the T&C's implied that they should be a month apart from other peoples descriptions of what they were told0 -

I think mjanet has got it wrong
The only time actual days are mentioned is the time it will take to get the £100£100 Online Cash Offer: Terms & conditions
1. These terms and conditions apply to the £100 Online Cash Offer. Participation in this offer is deemed acceptance of them.
2. This offer is only available to non-Barclays personal current account holders who open a Barclays Bank Account ('new account') online.
3. This offer is not available to Barclays staff or members of the Barclays Group.
4. The account must be opened within one month of fully completing the Barclays Bank Account application form online.
5. Once the new account has been credited with £1,000 or more each month for the first two consecutive months after account opening, the new customer will be eligible to receive £100. Only one £100 will be payable to the new account opened and only one new account may be opened under the terms of this offer. The new customer's account will be credited with £100 within 28 days of the 2nd monthly payment of £1,000 or more being paid into the new account.
6. If a new account is not opened or funded as required by the terms and conditions of this offer, the new customer will not be eligible for the £100.
7. Except where permitted at Barclays discretion, if you take up this offer and whilst participating in this offer, you will not be eligible to participate in any other offers that Barclays makes available to its new current account customers.
8. Barclays reserves the right to withdraw the availability of the offer at any time without notice.0 -

Hi again , No I deff never got it wrong in fact he said '' as long as you have paid the 2nd £1,000 into your account within 28days '' 3 times to me in the course of the conversation.I did ponder on it 1 because he was repeating it and 2 because 28 days is not a month, then I realised there is in fact 28 days in February so to meet the T&C'S it would in fact be 28 days wouldn't it ? It was DEFF said to me so maybe this is a new one they have dreamed up ?Wish I could stop editing EVERY post I make :mad:0 -

I really hope that either this is misinformation or that you misunderstood what he was saying , as today i have just deposited my 2nd £1000 ........which is over 1 calender month , since i deposited my first £1000.
but looking at the T&c's in blindmans post it definately refers to "2nd monthly payment" and also "each month for 2 consecutive months" so i'm pretty confident i have fulfilled their criteria........... fingers crossed"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page."
happy travels !!

My interpretation of the T&Cs is that it's "after account opening".
So first period is FROM opening date TO opening date plus 1 month.
Second period is FROM opening date plus 1 month To opening date plus 2 months.
Why not be on the safe side and meet all criteria?0 -
I filled in the on line application PM on the 18th. Received e mail on the 24th Jan, due to popular demand etc. Further e mail on 1st Feb, welcome to on line banking and my membership number etc. Deposited the 2 required sums of money at my local branch with the paying in book provided. 1 on 6th Feb and 1 on 6th March. Rang the 0500 number today to be told I'm not on the list of recipients for £100 my complaint would be logged and I would hear from them in the next 48 hours.0
