I really hope that either this is misinformation or that you misunderstood what he was saying , as today i have just deposited my 2nd £1000 ........which is over 1 calender month , since i deposited my first £1000.
but looking at the T&c's in blindmans post it definately refers to "2nd monthly payment" and also "each month for 2 consecutive months" so i'm pretty confident i have fulfilled their criteria........... fingers crossed
Maybe the bank fella was getting mixed up over the 28 day rule when he was telling me.Going by what others have said people are getting told different things anyway.I wouldn't worry about it as we all have the T&C'S
.I didn't mean to worry anyone ..SORRYWish I could stop editing EVERY post I make :mad:0 -
They didn't say why I wasn't on the list for the £100 but that they would make enquiries and notify me with the result in 48 hours. I'll keep you posted.0

I didn't get called within that timescale and was later told "you should never have been told that".
I got a good result from complaints and others have too - just don't hold your breath.0 -
lisyloo wrote:My interpretation of the T&Cs is that it's "after account opening".
So first period is FROM opening date TO opening date plus 1 month.
Second period is FROM opening date plus 1 month To opening date plus 2 months.
Why not be on the safe side and meet all criteria?
Or it could mean ...
open the account in January
Pay 1st £1000 in any time in February
Pay 2nd £1000 in any time in March
Get £100 28 days from second £1000 deposit0 -

which is the correct method?
i credited £1001 into my barclays account on the 21st of Feb 2006, can i put the other £1k in now (07/03/06) or do i have to wait till 21st March 06-as mentioned by lisyloo?
has anyone found out about this anyhow?
both of the responses seem viable but i was always under the impression that lisyloo's method is how it would be.0 -
I applied for this account at 16:30 on 18 January and have just put the second £1000 in my account. I was concerned like most people on this board that they would try and get out of this, but to my surprise Barclays sent me an email last week reminding me of the £100 offer. If they try and get out of it now I have evidence that I am eligible.0

how many days after you put in the second £1000 did you get this email?
and did you put the second £1000 any time in march or exactly a month after your first £1000 was put in?
thanks in advance,

OOOps - just double-checked my deposits and the first went in on 2nd Feb and the 2nd on 28th Feb - does this mean they'll count them both as Feb and not two seperate months??? Should I put another £1K in just to make sure?0

I'd just withdraw it and pay it back in again.0
