    I got my 100 even though the money went in and out within minute. And the T&Cs said nothing about having to have a credit balance, it simply said 'paid in' which it was. So ring them back and initiate a formal complaint for both paying you late, and lying to you about the T&Cs.

    There is a lot of lying going on by staff over this one. Although I was paid OK, OH is still waiting almost a month later, and the call centre said 'it will be paid within 14 days' even though this is clearly outside the T&Cs. We are giving them the benefit of the doubt and waiting, but will be making a big fuss if it doesn't happen.

    Just phoned Barclay's 0500 Tel. No. as I've not received my £100. Got asked when the account was opened, dates deposits were made (they must have had this info on screen in front of them already!!). I was then told that it seems I maty have not made the deadline as the offer was withdrawn on 19 January. I informed them that I definitely applied for and was accepted for this offer. My application confirmation letter was received dated 23 January and they confirmed that I have met the £1k deposit on 2 consecutive months criteria.

    It has been passsed to the online team for investigation to see whether or not I should receive the £100 - this may take up to 5 working days.

    Watch this space.

  • Received a letter from Barclays yesterday in response to my complaints. It's obviously a bog standard response from their apology letter catalogue and in no way answers my specific questions to them about why they are allowed to break their own terms and conditions and why CS staff lied to me.
    Made £100 from them so that will suffice! Not worth pursuing further for answers to my questions because they will probably not do so.

    Im having trouble finding how to close the account? The previous links on this thread say an error has occurred and i cant seem to find it on the barclays site! Am I missing it?

  • Received my £100 today! 28 days after the 2nd £1000 went in.
    Didn't get as far as complaining.

  • I chased Barclays as 28 days have passed and no £100 received. After failing to get anywhere on the phone I emailed them. This is their reply:

    "I am sorry for the inconvenience caused.

    Providing that you have met the terms and conditions of the offer, the £100 will be credited to your account, within 42 days of the second monthly credit of £1000 or more being paid in to the new account. Please note due to high demand there has been a further delay."

    How can they justify changing the T&C when it suits them?

    i have had exactly the same, on the blower to them now

    tracked back my paper statements and these show the deposits even though the online banking system didn't

    helpful lady at barclays also tracked them down.

    She had me on hold for a while whilst she rang the dept handling the £100 claims, she said there was a bit of a backlog there !!! she said her colleague had put me to the top of the pile and the payment should be in on monday if I qualify...

    so heres to monday...

    Did you get your money?

    I have raised 2 complaints now, but heard nothing from Barclays expect the standard letter saying your complaint is being investigated....

    I would advise ringing the 0500 number. I tried emailing two weeks ago and the only response I got was a blank email. I also tried writing as I thought this would get me further as I could send full details, but again got no response.

    I called the 0500 number this morning to be told that I was not on the list, probably because I had to go into the branch to open the account but that I had fulfilled the T&Cs.

    The adviser told me that there are only half a dozen Barclays staff working on this offer, hence the need to log complaints through the phone number quoted earlier in the thread.
