Ask them to raise a formal complaint.
This goes through a formal procedure and is dealt with by a more powerful "customer relations" department.0 -
That's who I got myself transferred to, their telephone number is 0845 6090806, hope that helps.0

thanks for that. Got through to the customer complaints department and they are trying to tell me that I applied after the deadline. I applied for two accounts one after the other - online - I did mine first then my husbands. We both had an email to confirm being processed. Paid in £2000 across two months on the same day. He has had his (3 weeks ago) and I havent.
Luckily I have a letter dated 19th January asking me to take ID to a branch and as this was the cut off day, this surely is proof they had it before the 19th.Matched betting proceeds so far: £505.000 -
That's exactly what they told me, so I'm going to have to dig out some old emails. Wonder if there's anything Martin can do to stop these jokers trying to scam us out of our hard earned cash!!0

Absolute proof (should you need it) will be on your credit report.
They would have done a credit check on you which will should on your credit report (can't remeber which one off the top of my head but if you search this post I'm sure you'll find it somewhere).
I think it's Experian.
If you should need this, then this is complete proof.0 -

I reported that, for both my wife and myself, they searched Equifax on the day (mid-week applications), and Experian the following working day.0 -
Had to wait 49 days for my £100 and had to ring three times to complain, but it is free money also have received £50 from them because that could not beat my insurance renewel quote
So a big thanks to Martin I am now £150 richer0 -
mines not come through yet even though the account openned easily. Have sent an e-mail prodding them for action, i fully expect them to try the "you applied late" excuse.....0

Just arrived back from a month in the States to find £100 waiting for me in my Barclays account. Have now transferred the money out.
