Just returned from holiday to discover that Barclays have credited my account with £100.00
For the record my account was opened on 23rd Jan and 1 paid in just over 1k during the course of Feb and a further 1k on 3rd March. I did this in a few separate transcations and also used the account for a few minor purchases and transfers just to make it look more realistic.
My account was credited with the £100.00 on 7th April - the balance at the time was £27.65!
Good old Barclays.0 -

I hope you mean £1000.0 -
Received my money yesterday, only two days late. I must say though that the customer services department were very pleasant and apologetic.
A big thank you Martin for the tip.0 -
Thanks to you all, (especially lisyloo). Six telephone calls later, I got my £100 and an apology. Good advice re: going straight to "customer relations"!0

I got my £100 from Barclays and transferred all my money out leaving a £0.00 balance.
I rang up yesterday to close the account and was told it had already been closed, after the balance went down to 0.
I was quite surprised to hear this, though I can see why they might want to get rid of the accounts of annoying people like us !!!
Anyone else had this?0 -
Hi all, I have a question regarding Barclays statements, I've met the requirements, but they way they produce their statements makes it look like I haven't...
First Statement:
6th feb £1000+
over a week later... £1000-
7th March £1001+
Second statement:
over a week after 7th March £1001-
current amount £1.04
So, before I call them up, have I met the terms or not?
Thanks guys.0 -
I finally got my cash
Two weeks after the 28 days were up, an email complaint which was ignored and finally a phone call to complain.
The guy sorted it pretty quick and I had the £100 credited the same day as my phone complaint.
My advice is if you are over the 28 days is to phone and complain on 0800 282 390

Thanks for the tip Martin. Now to close the account....0 -
Wife still not had her hundred quid. I've just sent ANOTHER (3rd one) Email complaint -- I'm trying to avoid having to coach wife & get her to phone up... But it may come to that, I suppose -- and got this reply:-
"Subject:Acknowledgement of your complaint of 21.04
Dear Mrs 'Oscarhugo' (I don't know where the flying smileyface came from -- I didn't add it!)

they way they produce their statements makes it look like I haven't...
What date was your account opened?
Alternatively what date is your statement date.
It looks at though you have deposited 2 lots of £1000 in the first "month" which means you wouldn't qualify.0
