MBailey Your second deposit may have been a bit early. Although it was in the next calender month, you were inside 28 days so perhaps their automatic system missed it.Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0

The 28 days is irrelevant in this context. I'm sure, if you plough through previous threads, you will find plenty of people have received their £100 from Barclays, even though they made their 2 deposits in successive calendar months BUT without letting a month elapse between 1st and 2nd deposit.0 -
I spoke to Barclays and they have a list of all customers who are eligable for the £100. I managed to open two accounts. One in my name and one in my mothers. Both have now paid out. I did open both accounts within half an hour of recieving the weekly e-mail though. Maybe that made a difference!0

Got my statement today,
Start balance 1001 pounds 11th March
2nd 1000 pounds paid in 20th March
100 pounds paid in 30th March
It is possible for someone to have paid in two 1000 in each calander month Feb & March, but still within the first account month, this may cause problems when it comes to getting your 100 pounds paid. Has anyone done this and still got the 100 pounds? You would know because your first statement will have 2 payments of 1000 pounds.0 -

The 2 deposits are shown on 2 seperate statements from barclays so I have met the conditions of the offer. I think I will try and ring them again and see what they have to say.0 -

Still no £100 creditied to my account! :-(
I have called Barclays and raised a complaint. I received a letter today from them saying my complaint was being investigated!
Just phoned Barclays and something has gone wrong with my account!!
The total turn over for my account shows as £2000 which is correct, but the statements only show £1000 going into the account on 3/3/06. This is also the same when I look at my online statement - If I select a statement window of January to April, it only shows the payment in March and nothing in February!!!
The operator said he has never seen this before!
The money definately went in and out in February (and stayed for a couple of days) as I can prove this on my Natwest current account that I transfered it from.
Any one else had this?0 -
Do you have your first months statement from Barclays? You said you did earlier so you should have no trouble getting it sorted. It is a worrying bug in their software though and maybe you could tell someone like the Telegraph finance section or the BBC etc.0

I am now in my the fourth month since opening this Barclays internet account having deposited £1000 in each of the first two months to qualify for the £100 bonus, I have had nothing in writing and no bonus. Q how long should I give them to honour the bonus.

Have you had any statements? If you have then it probably shouldn't be a problem - just seems to be a question of waiting. But I personally would have had to check it out by now by telephone, just to ease my mind. Doesn't mean you get it any quicker though.0

I have done everything by the book for this account, second deposit was 7th March, so I though this was long enough I will give them a ring.
CS there agreed I had fulfilled all the payments and I should have been payed by now. He went to check but I was not on the list, turns out I have an open account with the Woolwich which was joined to a mortgage we used to have with them. Never use the account but because Barclays took over Wooolwich it means I now have a product with them, and thus I am not entitled to the £100.
Will have to see what they say to my OH as our local branch told her she would get the money, when she had to take the ID in.
I am not happy, closing this account ASAP.0
