just got a call from barclays security,
they wanted to know, due to a lot of fraud near the barclays bank i opened my account in, if i had written the cheque, and who the cheque was made payable to and which account it was going into.

Good level of service with regards to fraud and security they offered with the transfer of my £2k out of this barclays account.

    Well done barclays :T

Yippee - came back from my holiday to find that the £100 had been credited on 5 April - will be keeping the account open with £1.00, just in case.

    Thanks again, Martin

At last - got my £100 - now what's the easiest way to close an account - I've never done it before. Can you do it by telephone?

Just a thought... I got my £100 last week and was thinking of closing the account. However, maybe it's worth keeping open to get access to offers only available to existing customers? (e.g. fee free BT credit cards)

    Great stuff

Got my £100 today - if I make no more money than this from Martin's site, it has been well worth it. Many thanks Martin

got mine some time ago. Put it against credit card debt.

How did you spend your £100.00?
  • Got my £100 as well! :j

Think I'll keep the account open (with zero balance) in case of any 'customer only' special offers...

Just checked and my £100 has been credited.
I am pretty impressed with their internet banking and I will continue to use my Barclays account.

Ewwww! Are you sure you don't want to try someone who offers decent internet banking? Barclays have a cap on transfers (I think £1K per day) which has already caught me out in the few months I've had the account, no access to statements online (and they don't appear to send them monthly either). No, I'm definitely moving on as soon as I get my £100.

    Hi there,
Has anybody NOT received their £100 yet? I opened the account in time and abided by the terms and conditions. When I telehoned Barclays their staff knew nothing about the offer, (Qu'elle surprise). Does anybody have any hints as to how to get them to cough up? I've already spent ages on the phone waiting for one memebr of staff to consult another and another....
    Many thanks.
