Hurrah! Got my £100 today. Transferred money - including the 3p interest.

Will close account tomorrow.

Thanks Barclays. Most of all - thank you Martin Lewis. You are my hero. <img src="http://home.no.net/birgif/glis/141.gif" />

We keep checking the wife's account on e-banking - but still no sign of the missing ton. Second £1k was credited on 9th March (1st one 8th Feb). Emailed complaint has gone in.
Expect the worst & hope for the best...

i recieved my £100 this morning

my second credit of £1000 into the acount was done on the 17th of march i think and i believe this was just under 28 days ago.

one thing id like to mention is that i didnt make any calls to barclays customers service or send any emails to them, and have recieved the £100 incentive.

id also like to stress the fact that if people are calling barclays and emailing them regarding not having recieved the payment within 28 days, your only making life more difficult for our fellow money savers who havent recieved their incentive 'over 28 days', who are chasing up their payments.

we are all here to make moneysaving fun and contacting barclays before you've seen your 28day period will only cause more delays for fellow moneysavers. we are here to help eachother out, please do not make it any harder.

Thanks,
Skiddy

After a huge hassle trying to get the account opened in the first place I eventually succeeded around about the 10th March. My first payment of £1000 cleared on the 21st March and my second payment of £1000 cleared on the 10th April. I phoned the Customer Relations Manager yesterday to ask if this time scale was O.K. and lo and behold my £100 was paid into my account today with an apology!! It obviously pays to contact the right people.

good for you!

but id be a bit ticked off if i had been waiting for the 28 days to pass or even longer.

i think barclays have handled your phonecall in a very unprofessional manner and wouldnt be suprised if many money savers will be sending barclays a strong worded letter regarding this.

nevertheless, you were lucky!
