WOOOOHOOOOOOO......just checked my Barclays account and there was the £100!!!! :j :j
Am a very happy bunny now as I've waited well over the 28 days but have been resisting the temptation to call.....I thought I'd give them a chance to catch up.
Now I will call......to close the account!!;)
Nice one MSE...thank you!

Just to let you all know that both myself and my OH have now got our £100 credited to our accounts.
Have now TXFR'd them out - along with the bit of interest - and will close the accounts very soon.
Very many thanks to Martin and everyone else on this thread for their posts. :money:0 -

Any help is greatly appreciated.
March and April is OK as it's 2 consecutive months after the opening of the account which was February0 -
£100 credited yesterday - finally!
Thank you Martin and MSE0 -
Made my easter weekend.
Exactly one month since my 2nd payment into the account and credited with my £100.
Transfering to my current account that does include interest.
And closing.
Martin, I followed your instructions to the letter, and what happened was as you described. I thank you.
Barclays, you are muppets for doing such a stupid offer, even more so in the age of the internet. I'm made up, but the one's who will suffer will be your employees who you will not be giving rises to this year.
As my company is going down the toilet, then £100 is more than I would get as a wage rise this year following the last three years of Zip !0 -
I wonder if the person in Barclay's responsible for this excellent, for us, promotion is still in his/her job? Probably been promoted!!
It would be good to know exactly how much this has cost them, not just the £100 incentives but also the cost of setting up accounts, stationary, cards, cheque books, postage etc.
There's sure to be some very creative accountancy at the end of their financial year to hide all this from their shareholders or whoever else would kick up a stink.0 -
At last - got my £100 - now what's the easiest way to close an account - I've never done it before. Can you do it by telephone?0
