Hurray!! I got my £100. :j

Thanks Martin and MSE and thanks everyone who offered advice on when to pay the money in.

Amazing, thought it would be a serious struggle as had received nothing from Barclays saying I was entitled.

Now all I have to do is work out how to close the account.......

I got my £100 a couple of days ago.
I was also fortunate in that everything went smoothly with no irritating complications/ID problems/branch visits or conflicting CS advice.
Based on my experience - and if I didn't know of the problems that some of you guys have had - I would probably have a good impression of Barclays !!

Although how you destroy and return something is an interesting concept!

Had to complain (and complaint took over seven days to deal with) but just looked and £100 is there!!! THANK YOU MARTIN! It will fund the matched betting Gosh, since discovering this site I have never been so rich (well, more like, not so poor!)

Just checked both Barclays accounts that me and oh opened and they have both been credited with the £100. No hassle no chasing or anything. Good luck to anyone still waiting and many thanks to Martin for the original post. I managed to register both of us with literally minutes to spare before the offer was withdrawn:beer:

So much for "the £100 will be credited to your account today" (Friday). It wasn't. So this bank's employees are obviously encouraged to humour customers by telling fibs?
Two complaints already sent. As mentioned in an earlier post it probably won't do any good, they don't care.

Now almost Sunday and £100 not credited. Sent another e-mail pointing out that I had met all T&C's, so why wasn't it in the account today.
There does not appear to be any pattern to the order they have paid this money, from the comments posted here. How do they run their business? Now the replies to that question could fuel a whole new thread.

'Phoned them again yesterday and was advised that due to the higher than expected uptake of the offer and the fact they were "snowed under" the "within 28 days" has been unilateraly extended by 14 days???

You should have asked if they would be unilaterally providing compensation by increasing the cash to those affected.

For those of us still waiting, it wouldn't have been so bad if everyone had waited 28 days or even 42 days but that has not been the case. How is it that one member on here received their £100 the same day as they banked their 2nd £1K?
My account was opened without any problem and foolishly I thought the £100 would follow without problem. How naive can I have been!
