    Hiya,

I got my card ok but only spent on it at the beginning of the week. I received it after 31st DEC, but applied in time for the promo.

Did you have to spend before the 31st to get the 30?

    *rather confused!* ;)

    Many thanks!

Same for MrK - he rang and was told deadline was being extended as many cards were late because of backlog. (They didn't say how long for, but he used it for a small amount the next day.) However he was later told that it hadn't been extended, so, tough! That made him CROSS! Someone else said they would add points anyway. We will wait and see what happens.

    Thanks for the reply :)

I have just checked and haven't got a single extra point, not even the 2k for applying. hmmmm

    Will see what happens.

  • Hi, for anyone who didn't apply originally you can still get 3000 points if you apply for the AmEx nectar card via https://www.nectar.com and apply through the nectar estores link. The value of these points can be greatly enhanced if you use them for some of the offers other than just shopping. 4000 nectar points get you £100 off, in addition to other offers, when booking a holiday at a Thomson high street store if (if over £1000). As they will usually match other tour operators prices we use them all the time. We have done this for the last few years and saved £100 each time. They are currently matching internet prices and we were still able to pay £100 with this. It even came off the required deposit!!

I got 2000 points only and being told that I will get 4000 after 1st statement.

    Very annoyed...!
All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy.
  • I applied for and got an Amex credit card through the link stated. I received a leaflet giving the amount of Nectar points allotted when first using the card, which was 1,000. I am sure that, when applying for the card, it stated that only 1000 points were to be earned. I never did see a reference to 6000 Nectar points unless you have to take all the special offers to gain extra ones.

One single spend 2 weeks ago and I signed-up on a form that mentioned only 1000 bonus points. Stick in there money savers you'll get your points!

    All the best,

Just checked my account online and as promised by CS I have got my 6000 points added 3 days before my first statement due after just one phone call. And I've spent only £0.20 on the account to receive it in the beginning of January. Good luck with your points!
