Dutch...its just that you seem to prioritise dogs over children so i couldnt help thinking you didnt have any with your attitude.
You were very unfair to the op (as you hadnt read all the posts),as you suggested she let her little girl look out of the window at the snarling dog!
There are some here who would kill the owner before the dog!
  • The police have said to monitor what the dog is doing when im in the house - such as going to the window if a car goes past etc. The neighbours said local kids are teasing him which is a blatant lie. They've done it once but thats it.

The neighbours also said my dad had threatened them - he didnt, he threatened the dog which they let out and he went for my dad, they also told the police im a gobby little cow who needs taking down a peg or two! so the police have told the neighbours not to confront us which i found HIGHLY amusing. "If i was such a gobby cow would i not of sorted it out another way rather than going through the proper channels?" was my reply. Ive been told if they kick off to write it down and phone the police - which they told me before.

Ive got out of HA contracts and will be going through them later to see what i can find out buit i did call the HA earlier and was told to call back monday as they only deal with emergency repairs at the weekend so i'll call them on my lunch break at work.

I told the police about other people complaining and have told him i will try and get them to call or write a letter.

The police have told me to call the council and get them to make a report of it - he said i could try and get them done for the barking but said he wasnt sure how they monitor it? he told me to call HA about a fence and again to make a note of the complaint. I said i would give them the 2 weeks but if the dog is still tere then ive got a number for our local HA officer and will be giving them a call as they deal with disputes and i have my camera ready at the back window for when he comes over.

When i let my dog out earlier there was a huge pull chew toy thing and i know it isn't our dogs and there is no others dogs in this area so i think it might be next doors dog which means he has been back over again. Well my dogs gained an extra toy now anyways lol

    14 days to go . . . .

Both working breeds, both needing high value stimulation/occupation, both strongwilled, both very very bouncy:p both soft mouthed ( my rott has had toys since he was a pup with no damage to them and can carry an egg without breaking it, my terriers shred any soft toy in minutes) both very trainable (unlike, for instance the average beagle or bulldog;) ) the only real difference is size and the types of job they were bred to do.....in all honesty there are very few dogs still doing the jobs they were originally bred to do!
    Rottweiller, soft mouth? :rotfl:

I don't have my tenancy agreement now but it did say all pets must not harass neighbours & must be under control & not intimidating!

Have you seen Dog Borstal? Mic Martin is ex police & military, if it's this easy why does he say to pull the front legs apart as hard as you can? I'd worry that this could make the Dog worse, into a frenzy, it might even grab the extinguisher & i've done a Fire Warden course, if your child is being attacked, VERY few people would take the time to get & operate an extinguisher. Most would act on instinct.

How could you stop a child from seeing the Dog? If you cover their head they'll think there's even more reason to panic? And maybe they'll be more scared not knowing where it is & that it's safe.
    Oh please!
