I do not agree. An upset kid is much worse. I am not being funny but there are lots of shops you can get a job in. If your kid has lost all their chrimbo pressies like the poster who had got £100 for his kid only to have to buy everything again from amazon to save the kid from heartbreak is worse in my opinion.
    .

I think your sense of priorities is off. Losing your source of income is far, far worse than losing extras such as DVDs or computer games.

I am not sure many 7 year olds have a sense of income.

My priorities are absolutely fine thanks. Its my kids first.

These shop workers have not lost their jobs yet, of course it will be sad when they do but they will just get another job I am sure.

  • I agree with disney - people can get another job - I work for Adams and yesterday we had a feeling the writing was on the wall so I walked over to Gap kids and got a job there. They were recruiting as are Tesco where i live. We have already lost Woolies and now Adams where I live. We did not have a Zavvi but my twins lost 30 in vouchers and were heartbroken asking why Santa did this etc. They are 6.

I managed to use some Woolworth vouchers just before Christmas. Different policy evidently. Must say I think vouchers are a damned nuisance and a nice little earner for retailers as many get left in drawers and never spent. Trouble to buy and trouble to redeem.

Convince your relations to give you money instead. After all the vouchers have a monetary value on them so giving someone the same amount of money makes no difference.

When someone gave me money as a child and I didn't save it, I use to be made to show of the item I purchased with it.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

  • Nothing that has happened is illegal or theft

Administration freezes the claims of creditors, which all gift card holders where, and the administrators can then refuse them all.

For some reason they are accepting more recent ones, possibly because they know accepting these ones might attract other income wereas older ones would be dormant if it wasnt for the need to sell them.

As for the police, you have no legal right to use a voucher at this time or take goods therefore if you do it is a criminal activity and you can be prosecuted, blame those who got you such a !!!!!! gift in the first place.:D
