So as predicted its a busy week. I wish all of you good luck and remember you've already been through the most stressful part of the BR process - the lead up to it. The court and OR interview are simple in comparison. Please come back and tell me I was right!

yes the court I will probably get through without too much upset but the OR interview! :eek: well it won't be so bad really! I hope.

yep we are tomorrow morning will they just take the forms from us and arrange an intrview or do it all tomorrow?

i dont know if this will be moved but i have one further question can they refuse a br or anything we are showing a negative on our soa from cccs i found the online soa section very basic so it was difficult to show everything on it
should we take a copy of the original soa with the additions written onto it?

Hi, they wil take the forms, you will do the whole BR thing, maybe seeing the judge, maybe not. then after you have been declared BR, you will probably speak to the OR right away by telephone - this is the time you should tell him which account is your post BR account so that he can let the bank know he is happy for you to use it.

They can only refuse BR if you are not insolvent or if you do not understand the implications of going BR.

just take the forms as they printed off online but keep the soa with the notes handy for when you have your OR interview which will be a little while after the court bit.

Just remember you have nothing to hide and have not committed a crime! The OR is not there to punish you but there to be fair to both you and your creditors. He is working for you - you have just paid him £345 or whatever to deal with your affairs.

If you don't have an answer or can't remember just say that - I pride myself on remembering details etc but in my face to face interview I honestly couldn't remember what we remortgaged for 4 years ago. I just said I'm sorry I just can't remember and he was fine with that. I did remember later though we put in a new kitchen and double glazing. £20,000 gone!

Also remember you have prepared yourselves as much as you can and done all your homework - what is the worst the OR can do to you anyway - NOTHING!

So you're best having a good nights sleep knowing you've done everything you can and you will soon be debt free! Hooray! Then come back here and tell your tale!

No they won't refuse - if you're insolvent you're insolvent. I had a negative on my surplus too.
