Thats what we had to pay also for 2 dogs for 10 days - actually it was 300 not 250. Now we don't have the dogs and I miss them.

    Me too,
I had two Jack Russells for 12 years and 16 years and it is like there is a big hole in my life without them. Any amount of money is a small price to pay for the love and affection that they gave, and I used to love the long walks.

Part of our 'five year plan' is to move abroad so in preparation for that we rehomed our dogs in november, so they are still out there somewhere hopefully in a good home with people who take them for loads of walks.

Hi everyone, have got over the shock about the kennels now. have had a lovely roast chicken dinner (i know it's friday but... it was good). :D

I know the kennels will cost a lot but they will be well looked after. We used to get a neighbour to come in the house and look after them for us while we were away. But they have distanced themselves a bit for some reason  and I am not so keen to ask as I don't want them to think we are just using them either, even though we did give them money and sweeties as a thank you.

So it's the kennels from now on and will have to put them in again at the end of june as have a family wedding to go to.

FYP you must be missing them so much, am sure that they are in a loving home but that doesn't make it any easier I know. hugs to you.

    Good morning everyone,

I had to dig deep to find the thread - it was buried on page 3 of the board (no, not that page 3) there are lots of new threads .......

I was supposed to be at work today but a lot of sporting events have been called off due to the cold and frozen ground and so I am just working from 6.30 until 9.30 tonight...... a day doing nothing ....... yippee :j

Only a week to go until BR and I am getting a bit nervous now. I suddenly remembered that I have had a couple of bets over the last couple of years using my debit card to pay, hardly a gambling habit or problem but I did get a bit of a cold sweat going about it. Just have to wait and see.

Good Luck to those of you going this week, especially Don79 :A who has been an absolute star over the last few weeks - helping and supporting me so much. I shall be thinking of you....

As I type this, I have got one eye on the TV watching Countryfile which is an Equine special ..... Wonderful! For many years I had one or two horses and I miss it so much, riding is so expensive now. I am determined to haul my old bones into a saddle before too long though - whether it be beg, borrow - No I draw the line at steal! They hang horse thieves, don't they? :D

As you can probably tell from my lighthearted post I am feeling like a huuuge weight has been lifted off my shoulders with the BR. I am actually positive about waking up in the morning and the day ahead. I swear there was a black cloud above my bed for years. Whatever the BR brings I know it can only be ten times better than the life I have been living - 110% overshadowed by my financial misery.

Thanks to you all.. Have a good day.....

Hi SA, hope you are having a good day off!

I used my debit card online for the lotto a few times, I think the OR will expect people to have gambled a little, it is excessive gambling that will be the probem. things like the Grand National and Lotto, he probably expects to see.

am glad that you are feeling more positive. I am too, just the thought that the burden of the debt will be gone is going to be such a big relief, not an easy journey to get this far though. so well done to you and to everyone else who has gone down this road.

I did riding lessons for about a year and I miss it, I really loved it but it has now been over ten years since I was on a horse. I worked in a stables for a litte while too! very hard work but I liked it. One day perhaps....... :D

Have a good day off! :D

Thanks ym - are you at work?

I can't believe that my whole working life revolves around sport so what am I doing now, on a day off, watching darts and football....... and I am female

Still good though - still in my pj's - drinking a capuccino (out of a packet) and doing very little else.

Yep, I am positive until one of those little niggles creeps into my mind .... you know the ones - what if, what if ...... but it does help to post on here and get instant advice and support especially with people like debtdoctor, max and dalip around who have seen it all many, many times before and are completely unfazed.

I need to start getting my "further information" stuff down on paper. Aparently it helps the OR and can cut down the time the interview takes.
    Here's hoping........

    Have a good one..... ;)
