  • tbf the royal mail only has one letter to deliver a day, so how they can mess that up I don't know.
  • I am astounded that in this day and age people are considering striking, especially when so many other people who have lost their jobs, would only be too pleased to have a job/income etc, are out there to fill the postions.

What do these union people think is happening on the job front these days, they should be grateful for a job!! Never mind the millions of peoples christmases they ruin, through striking.
  • has anyone come across bemypostie.com - they appear to have removed all their registration and listing fees as a response to the postal strike - worth a look maybe?

Work from Liverpool will be transferred to a Warrington site in 2010, losing 600 sorting jobs in the city and leaving it as the only major centre without its own sorting office.

yes they are big machines running at speed so it could get destroyed
    2nd was a typo
well you may not believe thisbut theres not one lorry with one item delivered point to point
millions of items mean things can get put in the wrong box/sack

i posted to show what can and does happen but maybe easier if i said i was out spending £80 in vouchers today

I wonder - can you provide any statistics as to how much mail is actually destroyed by these machines in, lets say, a month? Or how much mail is reported as 'lost or stolen' on a weekly basis?

the one that gets me are the people sending cards year on year for people who died/moved away years ago.

Nice job Wullie, ppl don't realise that most posties sort this kind of thing out everyday instead of just posting through the doors that are marked on the address. But don't you sometimes think people complain for the sake of complaining. A lady called me up yesterday, telling me she hadn't received any mail for a week(2nd complaint), told her we'd investigate and get back to her. Spoke to manager who actually personally delivered her mail on Saturday to see if her complaint was valid, ofc she denied getting any mail on saturday
