recorded travels with normal mail.it makes no difference in how its handled until it makes it to the delivery office

but maybe the big stickers on the envelopes make it less attractive to potential thieves

ok - I get your point

this doesn't help in getting my stolen vouchers back tho does it

so you know the ins and outs of recorded delivery - very helpful to some - but not me - I didn't post the vouchers !

Well if they did like going for recorded they would probably have an awful lot of meaningless documents.

It's almost certain they will turn up.

if they don't turn up then yeah I will presume that they have been stolen

they were taken to a post office, the postage was paid and they didn't arrive - unless someone can provide an alternative and realistic explanation then I will presume they are stolen

I'd love to live in a world thats as black and white as yours

I could give you several reasons why they havent yet arrived but as you seem hell bent on calling everyone that works for RM thieves (me included) i wont bother.

Royal Mail will only cover the value of
Vouchers, venue tickets etc on Special Delivery
if lost on recorded she would not have
    been covered for the loss.

Not much help to you I know but is
there a chance that your letter could
have been put through the wrong
    letter box ?

NEVER NEVER NEVER post anything of value Recorded Delivery. As someone has said it's treated as normal mail. In fact if you post Recorded then all you are doing is advertising the fact that it may be something of value. Recorded should only be used really by people such as the police and solicitors who want to make sure the person receiving a document is not lying when they said "it never arrived". Always use Special Delivery and you'll be properly insured.
