MIL has a cleaner that is £25 a week I think, we could prob afford this (and deff need one) but I don't think I could as I've spent the last 7yrs saying his mum is lazy for having a cleaner :o I'm soo not gonna eat any humble pie!

ETA: I am thinking of using one of those Ironing services tho coz I only iron some thing if absolutely necessary I hate it!

DH does our ironing! :p. We recently got one of those steam pressure irony thingys from BzzAgent and he is like a kid with a new toy! :j

Thanks, just gotta find a good thread to prove I deserve it now - I hope I do!

Tine, your a spring chicken! ;) are you scared of turning 30 or are you cool about it?

SB I think its funny the differences in some of us, when I was preg with Chris MIL was only 46 and she had a friend at work only a few yrs younger who was preg too she used to say she couldn't be a grandparent in her 40's but she loves it now coz people are always shocked that she is and say "never! your far too young" she loves being a glamorous granny now :rotfl:
I think you are a different parent as a younger/older parent, as a young one I don't feel as constantly tired as some of the older mum's seem to be, but I think the older ones are more patient and less stressed han younger ones

Congrats Poppyjoe - glad everything went well even though you had a few hiccups during the labour.

I am 43. Do I win the title, or is someone on here older than me?:rotfl:

Oh yes Triggles, I forgot you're the perfect person to ask, are you a different sort of mum with your LO to how you were with the older ones?

Hi guys, just my update on my first full day of knowing i'm a pregnant lady!
I called the doctors this morning, they were totally disinterested. Told me that the doctor wouldn't see me till i was 8-10 weeks because there was no point as so many people miscarry. And that i had to contact the midwife myself and that they won't see me before 10 weeks...again...."because there's no point, they don't want to waste their time having an hours appointment if you're just going to miscarry"

    Insensitive cow!

Then i called the lady who books the appointments for the midwife and she scheduled my booking in appointment for the 28th Jan (when i'll be 10 weeks)...
will i get told at this appointment when my scan will be?
