  • Hormone and lack of sleeping getting to me today. Any my husband has disappeared! He's been offline for most of the morning, wonder where he has gone! Very strange, he is always logged on (its a global company and they chat instead of using phones). Worried!

are you me???? EXACTLY the same here...

Funnily enough, I was just watching Private Practice, and there was a man who had two wives - both of them pregnant, but didn't know about the other! I'm scared now!

    Hello Chatty Girls!!!!

I am back from a morning of shopping, DH didn't go to uni today so ended moaning around the town with me......why on earth he bothered coming, I don't know??

I have got chronic toothache which started yesterday and had me restless all night too. I am going for a nap in a minute, the kids have got a party after school today too which me and dh are staying to help out!

Seeing as though we are trading ages, I am 29....My boys are 8 & 6. I can't believe I had a baby when I was 21, as that seems so young to me now.

Off to nap. Labour Vibes to SB....................

    Mel x

It's probably worth you finding something, trying it out, then telling them exactly what you want?

Everyone I know (including myself) that has had/is having pram bought by parents has just gone and looked at them and picked what they want then told parents exactly which one and where is cheapest to get it

Exactly...ideally this is would I would want to do, I was quite happy to pay for the thing myself to make sure we got something we actually wanted, but this seemed to offend them as it is 'family tradition' that they are to buy the pram and want to do so without us choosing it. I think I'm just going to graciously decline the offer and say thanks but it's something we need to choose ourselves especially as there's more than size to consider (I am 5 foot, DH is over 6 foot so adjustable handle height necessary, also needs to be fairly easy to put up/down as I have a bad back), but if they want to buy something then how about x,x or x and tell them things they could perhaps buy instead.

Thanks for the links Sami, will take a look. You are my date twin I think, June 3rd, for some reason I never got round to adding myself to the list.

I don't feel particularly young to be having a baby. OH is 35, so I suppose that makes a difference. We've been together for 8 years now. I forget how young I am sometimes, I feel about 30.

Hmm they sound a little unreasonable - nowt as queer as folk as they say ;)
Tell them hey are welcome to pay for the pram of your choice otherwise you'll be sticking the one they pick on ebay BNIB :p
not really, they could always but some furniture, we've got a crib, cotbed, chest of drawers, clothes rail and changing station if we'd got it all new it would have been about £300 - £400 so maybe they can get those sort of things, if they want to choose give them your top 3 list to pick from if your happy with that :D

  • HypnoNu, what an insensitive thing to say!

However, saying that, I have been told that the system my PCT runs is designed to save money due to the m/c rate . After initially seeing the community M/W at the GP surgery when you have your BFP, you wait to receive a letter from the antenatal department at the hospital at around 12w. The first thing they do is perform a scan to confirm the pregnancy before any more paperwork/booking in bloods etc are carried out.

    xx

:rotfl:nothing like the system in my area!
I told receptionist I needed MW app
she asked if it was for booking in, I said yes so she made me hour long app and gave me notes to fill in and pot for MSU and normal wee sample
booking in app, they usually take bloods but I declined them, and phoned for scan app which I could pick which app time/day I wanted there and then :D We must be much more trust worthy round here :rotfl:
