How strange. I bought a box of sugar puffs for the first time in years a couple of days ago, and now this freak glucose in urine thing! Must be linked. Weird!

    TMI warning!

I find if I eat sugarpuffs I can actually SMELL them when I wee!!! So I'm not surprised if you get glucose in your urine when you eat them :)

    Thanks Fritha - another local!

I have booking in appt at GP surgery with community midwives - been told appt will last an hour and all I need to bring is myself!

Glad the labour ward is so good - I will try to remember to be assertive on mat ward - are they a bit pushy?

Anyone I've ever discussed sugar puffs with has said the same thing...

If I eat chinese curry I smell it when I wee too... lol...

OMG We'll have to start a local to wazza group LOL

I'm going to have to clear up the sugar puff thing now! I'm not sure why but it is just a fact that sugar puffs, excess alcohol and asparagus cause keytones or glucose to end up in your wee. Apparently you can only smell it if you have a certain gene that not everyone has - I have it as does my OH we love asparagus and it makes us chuckle how quickly it get to make our wee small and how long it lasts for (I know we are soo sad!)

  • MFD, you can get staffordshire oatcakes in Walsall tesco! We can meet up at kiddisave then pop to tesco's after if you like....

In laws are ex JW... They're lovely people, they just used to have funny beliefs... I find if they knock the door I just tell them I'm a christian and very happy with my bible TYVM and they leave...

But Castle Oatcakes don't deliver to Wolverhampton Krystal and they just ain't the same if you have to cook them yourself :rotfl:

My ex-boss is a JW and has moved to Guiana to be a missionary. He and his family were lovely...but then again I never had them at my door :rotfl:
