Hey myaccount - most of our family are in delhi nowadays but we'll be going to Jallander and Ludhiana as well as we still have some of my grandads family over there that we'll go and visit. I'm really looking forward to it, my only concern was water as i don't even expecially trust the bottled water in India but we decided to invest in a Steripen so we can UV sterilise all our water and hopefully not get sick! We're going to be travelling around a fair bit (hope i can manage it all) We're going up a mountain in Jammu & Kashmir, to Agra to see the Taj Mahal, to Jaipur, to Haridwar, I knw Mark's gonna love it...it's going to be very weird for him because he's never been anywhere like that before...I can't wait!0

Forgot to say to ? (oops i forgot already) but i have PCOS too. Sometimes they like to check progesterone in the beginning to make your hormones are co operating.
That's awful about getting the wrong medical letter! We used to stay in a smallish village, and at our GP practice there was a woman with the same first & surname as my mum - and they were both born in the same month & year! She got the wrong prescription once because of it. Maybe it was a similar mix up? Weird coincidence though!0 -
a question (well more than one actually)
where are you ladies finding your sheets for your baby's beds ?
also.... thoughts on the sleeping bag (grobags/dreampods)0 -

AF - I have bought a couple of sleeping bags but apparently the MW's here don't recommend them for the first 6 months or so because the baby could overheat
I bought lovely soft flannelette sheets from matalan.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

My crib sheets were mothercare/babies r us and cot stuff kiddicare for fitted sheets and top blanket/sheets My mum made with fabric I got free from working at zorbit - so sorry I'm not much use there but I got Chris's sleeping bags nice n cheap from asda I think sleeping bag is essential for early-ish days when they keep wriggling out off the blankets0 -
AF, I have 2 cotbed sheets that I used for Aimee... Got them from Dunelm Mill when they were reduced... I'm unsure whether to invest in some new ones (1 has a hole in so I should really lol) Or just use single sheets folded in half...
Half of my baby stuff is sitting on a shelf unit at the top of my stairs, it's the only space we have... The other half is sitting in the pram underneath the stairs... Trying really hard to stop Hubby turning it into a coat rack / dumping area though....A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

to be honest, all the overheating talk really scares me (probably my major fear to be honest). talk of it is everywhere and i even saw a thermometer being sold with a bedding set.
how many blankets you should have, with what sheets, sleeping bags etc.
wonder if it will be mentioned at my antenatal class, is that where they told you MFD???
will go back to Matalan to look for bedding. have wanted to go back but hubby prefers going to a different supermarket now (where there's no matalan  )0 -

The sleeping bags shouldn't be used if baby is under 7lb and of course shouldn't be too high a tog rating, avoid ones with sleeves tho!
also even though many companies make them I don't recommend using a sleeping bag once bubs can pull themselves up to standing as there is a risk of them tripping up in the bag and bumping their head on side of cot
all that info is from when I worked at zorbit0 -
AF - my moses basket sheets were from John Lewis. I haven't bought cot sheets yet. I want a sleeping bag for the LO, but want to know the colour before purchasing - I wasn't finding any of the unisex ones particularly inspiring so going to splash out one a blue or pink one once baby arrives (*Note to baby - you are meant to ARRIVE!)
soooooo sleepy off to snuggle up on the sofa xr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0
