  • Krystal - I guess sharing a birthday with Aimee could make up for being a Friday 13th baby ;)

I kind of guessing that if I need to be induced it is likely to be a long, hard process

When we sat down for the meal last night Bubba got hiccups as the main course was being served - I swear he is so low down now that it was like he was hiccupping in my lady bits! I had to go for a quick walk to quieten him down before I ate!

Any tips for a really hiccuppy baby?

  • Princesswoo - not sure where you are. I know in the past I have had 2 scans, the first around 10wks and the second around 20wks. Not all health boards do the second scan in scotland there is an artical here (that I found earlier tonight!) http://thescotsman.scotsman.com/pregnancyandbirth/Four-health--boards-.3761360.jp Things seem to have changed a lot since I had our last 4 years ago so I was just checking.

ETA - I think the Nuffield in Glasgow offer private ultrasounds.

Re all the talk of having the snip etc. dh had his when he was 29 (I was 24) What can I say, his consultant made him feel like it was nothing major (and could easily be reversed) he was under a lot of pressure from his parents and I was busy with 3 kids under 4... I hope I am not going to offend anyone here but take time to consider the options, he was sure he wanted it and look at us now  and omg the waiting lists for a reversal :rotfl: x2 because it didn't work the 1st time (not to mention the cost :o) I am really sorry I don't want to upset anyone - but I wouldn't wish what we went through (emotionally) on anyone.
  • It's sharing experiences like that chasingbutterflies that makes me SO happy to be a part of this forum. Where else can you always find someone who has had experience of what you are thinking about doing?
    Thanks for sharing sweetie!

  • Now, now AF - don't be mean, it is bound to end in hormonal tears!

Did everyone else get the email about the boots baby offers at the moment - there is 20% off some of their baby sets etc at the moment - a good deal if you were intending to buy any of their stuff.

Thanks for that I'll be showing my OH it - i actually don't see the point in him having it done as I'll be having an IUS again after this one and it worked perfectly for us, I don't see it as necessary in our case plus we want to foster in 5yrs or so but if for some reason we weren't allowed to I would re-consider my "no more pregnancy rule" :p Hubby thinks i might 'trick' him in to getting me pregnant again if he doesn't get snipped tho :rotfl:

  • Reading all the posts re the snip, i mentioned it to OH to see what his views would be....

Not impressed at all with that suggestion, so I said that was OK he would have to get used to condoms for the rest of our married life as I don't intend going back on the pill...

Well he changed his mind quite quickly after that suggestion and said it might be the easier option after all !!!!!!:rotfl::T
