Congratulations on the birth of Cyi-Bailey, Bekki
Sorry for my ignorance, but how do you pronouce Cyi? (I know I'm going to get the same question with the name I have in mind!)
Is he your first? Us first-timers especially like hearing about quick first labours!0 -
Congrats Bekki.
Bought some sugar free sweets for the kids so just thought I'd taste one as I opened the bag, I seemed to have got a bit carried away. Ben, my 5yr old just came into the kitchen and tutted at me, oops! They were very nice.Too many children, too little time!!!0 -

thanks everyone i darnt even think mor ethan 3 days ahead at the moment as i worry so much but i also know i cant do anything about it so i try not to stress .... i was going to try and get an early scan to ease my mind is this possible? due to my MC last time? i dont even care if i see anything id just like to know its in the right place and there is a herat beat? ive heard ppl get these but i dont know under what circumstances... is it only if your not sure of your dates? and what is the earliest the can tell me if there is a HB?
Hi, i'm in the same boat just now. I've had 5 losses, and after a long long time TTC im recently pregnant again. They won't scan you just because of one early loss (because it's so common, they can't be scanning everyone!), unless it was ectopic. I had an emergency scan in week 5 to check for ectopic/molar pregnancy because i was in alot of pain and my hormones were abnormally high. Things seem to be getting abit better now. It's funny because i dont think more than a few days ahead either, i think it's probably natural.
I'm paying for a scan privately as i'm a nervous wreck! It's £100 at our fertility clinic, we'll be booking it for @ 8 weeks. At 9 weeks you can see movement though, so if i can control myself we may wait the extra weekShould help abit until the NHS scan at 12ish weeks (although they're very slow here, often you dont get it till 14+ weeks).
Upto 50% of first time pregnancies end in m/c and it puts you at NO increased risk of having another. Once they see the heartbeat you have a 95% chance of everything being fine. Maybe worth having the private scan so you can enjoy it abit more?0
