    Hi all..

That's better, lots to catch up on. No Caz though - sleeping again? ;) (not that you don't deserve it - just don't want you to have given birth without telling us first! :p).

    I don't like the new colours.. :(

Do you think it means bubs is having a growth spurt if I have a day of crzy hunger?! I've been snacking all day and had a massive ham salad bun for lunch and could well have eaten another one without pausing for breath! It was soooo nice.. *drools*

OH not back from his travels yet so I really should be tidying up, not sitting here catching up and eating my second bag of crisps in a row! Nipped to Tesco and treated myself to a few magazines and a new handbag so I'm getting distracted by them too. Got to write a "to-do" list for the builder later..

*hugs* to all who need them! Rmac, are we supposed to be sending you labour vibes now or are you happy as you are? Is your pool all set up now? Can I be nebby and ask how far in advance you set it up? Do you blow it up then start filling it when everything kicks off? It is supposed to stay warm? Sorry, lots of questions.. It's not for me (I need to be near the drugs!) but just curious :)

"thank you for your email. Can you please confirm what you received as we are waiting for carrycots."
And that is it!!! Never heard anything back. But I cannot check now as the boxes are on their way!

yes please lots of labour vibes are good. We have bought a birth pool in a box - essentially a blow-up birthing pool. You get all the bits you need, incl pool, pump, liner, waterproof sheeting for floor, temp guage, tap adaptors, hose etc for just under £100. Our recommendation from the MW is to set it up when I go into labour. It takes approx 20 mins to set up and 20mins to fill up. If I have a really fast labour and can't set it up in time, then I wouldn't be allowed in it anyway - so I'm not worried about that bit. Apparently it can be a good distraction and make hubby feel very involved.

The temp guage tells you when it's getting too cold and it can be topped up veyr easily -you just need to make sure that you have a good hotwater supply on demand, we are lucky that we do.

As for pain relief, I have a tens machine (hired), paracetamol, gas and air (entonox) and the birth pool. I also plan on using hubby and his massage! However, if none of this happens to be enough, I am 7 mins away from further drugs at the hospital:rotfl:

My attitude is that I haven't a clue how I will be in labour, but I can give myself the best possible, calm start - for me that's at home knowing there is good medical backup very close. For me it's not about the drugs (although the natural way does appeal) it's more about the environment I'm in i.e. MY environment (I'm a bit of a control freak!!!). It's not for everyone though.

probably won't be on much over the weekend, but will try and pop in when I can to keep you all updated. No doubt still be here on Monday as normal :D

Have you tried tracking your order on their site, its a bit confusing but you can work it out eventually.
Also I reckon you'll get the 5th box arriving any day now

im back wish i was sleeping today elle! but i have been run off my feet all day:D Charlie had a hearing test which he passed but my lot get an extra check as my aunty and cousins LO are both deaf. then i had reflexology which was fantastic and as its a MW that does it i managed to fire a million questions off that she was more than happy to answer and put my mind at rest! she also told me to tell OH that he was more than willing to put baby in so can be more than willing to get her out, so he bought me chillie chicken for tea:P

One more sleep til EDD r.mac!!! if you want ill take a drive over and we can run up arthurs seat and roll back down to see if that helps:D

Feelie i think everyone goes through a few weeks when they feel really down, i dont think that anyone of us can honestly say we havent had rock bottom moments when we feel that we have had enough. i think that hormones dont help but the feeling that knowing we have to keep going through this for x amount of weeks makes us feel worse! i was eating creme eggs too today and had a wispa for lunch hehe!!

*hugs* to all those in need
and labour vibes for all those in need also xx
What's for you won't go past you

Vacuum is making strange noises. Normally, I'd take it to pieces and find out whats wrong with it. Would it be awful of me to just stick it in the garage and buy a new one? Might try and persuade OH to have a look at it, but he isn't too keen on stuff like that.

He has given up smoking which doesn't help - I'm aware that if I stress him out too much, or get too 'ill' he'll break and start smoking again, and neither of us want them. Trying to put on a brave face, but its very tiring doing that, and I'm not particularly good at it.

Not sure how much of a fuss to make with doctors and things - last thing I want is them putting me back on medication, but I don't know if they'll find a way to fund therapy. Silly NHS!
