    Aww :o

I'm here. CPN is still AWOL. I phoned the Consultant, and am waiting for her to get back to me. Struggling rather a lot. Feel awful - I mean, having a baby is so wonderful, that should be enough to stop me being depressed, shouldn't it.

    hon,

just because you are having a baby and as you know that is a wonderful thing, it doesn't put a stop to the reasons someone may be depressed, as much as we would like it to.

    (((big hugs)))

just keep talking about it. i know the other day you were saying you didn't feel like talking about it when the CPN was MEANT to come and see you, but even if it is to us on here, just get those words out of your head and out into the world. might help a smidge?? even if it helps a little it's worth it.

i am not one for keeping a diary, and not sure if you do/can but even write your thoughts in there. even if they are random, not proper sentences, just feelings or thoughts.

now, feel free to throw all this back and me becuase i am great for dishing out the advice but never taking it more :D

Bless you hun, don't beat yourself up. My sister suffered from PND with her first. She was ecstatic she had a girl, thought everything would be wonderful and rosy, and dear niece didn't stop crying for about a year...and sis couldn't bond with her properly and thought she was a terrible mum, and didn't realise she had PND..which obviously made it worse. When the MW told her that she had PND, she said it was like a weight had been lifted, she realised that every mum has different experiences and expectations and you can only do your best. She was absolutely fine with her second child. As long as you recognise the symptoms, that's half the battle. ;)

    mine's still a lemon/lime/neutral bump.

must remember to tell the sonographer next week NOT to say what i am having (thinking at 34 weeks it's going to be more noticable).

Me and OH both like the name Lincoln, but would that be silly, seeing as our surname is another presidents name? Lincoln Clinton would just be stupid, wouldn't it? (Surname isn't Clinton, but you get the idea)

Still no phonecall from Consultant, was hoping she'd get back to me today. Fingers crossed, otherwise I'll just lie on the sofa and cry all weekend :(
