Ladybird - that's something I totally get....about the mortgage etc.
My main reasoning for not wanting to go back to work before little one(s) start school is because of child care. Neither of us have family in this area and I have a thing about day nurseries. I'm not judging anyone who uses them - but I worked in a couple whilst I was a student and hated the way kids were treated like robots and not allowed to show their creativity. I'd look at a childminder (my mum did that for a while when I was younger) if I had to go back to work after mat.leave but think that would cost almost what I'd be earning!! Kinda defeats the purpose!! Also - I wanna be the one with my kids all day.

Sami - at the min houses cost about the same as this place did when we bought it - but when we got this place, ave 3bed terrace was about £195K+ (£250+ in a nice area!!) and no....we're not in London. We do have a garage, so that's a possibility, even though it's not damp now, i'd be worried about it being damp!!!! Lol.
[edit] I've always liked the idea of a baby sling/carrier thing though, so that would be a defo consideration. Just that both hubby and I like walking, so some sorta thing on wheels would be good :)

Nowt wrong with being a SAHM I did it and though this time will only do it for a year then go back to college, I still think of myself as a SAHM rather than a student! DS2 is at nursery and it is doing him the world of good, but each child is different. His nursery is awesome though.

I'm pregnant with baby no3 (still not sure if we are having it though, got to see what my consultant says, but I think no matter what we will be) and in a 2 bed house. I'm not planning on moving for another few years as although it may be a squash, I'd rather be here and have extra cash for holidays, savings, treats, random shopping trips than a larger house and be scrimping and saving.

I don't mean to gatecrash then ask a million questions...but do you guys think it's worth taking pre-pregnancy supplement thingies and how long for before hoping for conception?? It's supposed to be 3months or something isn't it??

I take Pregnacare and am going to take it all through my PG and breastfeeding, it helps ensure you have the right vits, but it is VERY important before conception and during the first trimester. It helps ensure the baby's spine closes up properly for one thing, which is a common cause of miscarriage I believe if that doesn;t happen right .

the only thing you really "should" take is folic acid 400mg perday for 3mths before and after conception

I do find the Pregnacare make me feel really sick, so I take them at bedtime and then I feel sick while I'm asleep! Otherwise I get really queasy.

Asprin is for high blood pressure. I was prescribed it last pregnancy, although it didn't actually help... I'm hoping it will work like a placebo, I will think myself healthy because I'm taking it!

Also bought a BP monitor for when I am at home, I can try out relaxation and stuff and see what brings it down. I will not get pre ecclampsia this time, I wont, I wont, I WONT!!! :rotfl:

Shame we can't share BPs mines really low and seem to just keep getting lower this time around
I can recommend relaxation cds, I got a free MP3 one that I found in the freebies forum a while back and use it to get me off to sleep as I'm at the can't sleep for no apparent reason phase.
Have you tried reflexology or acupuncture? I'm hearing lots of good things about both recently!
