Glad baby is fine. Take good care of yourself - I'm sure your blood pressure was raised somewhat due to the baby not moving. But still, it's good that they did the tests and didn't just assume. It's good that they are careful enough to double check.

I have two boys, DS1 aged 7 and DS2 aged 3 and a half. Both pregnancies I had pre ecclampsia and with DS2 I had a plantral abruption and ecclampsia. So very worried this time. If the consultant says its too risky then wont be here for long. I'm hoping that he will say that it's not too risky, kinda gotten attatched to it now. I actually feel a lot more positive than I did with DS2, just always knew something horrible would happen and it did.

Ordered a BP moniter anyway, my BP was 140/90 on Wednesday, but I was seriusly stressed!!

Realised that I can't avoid lifting DS2, he has mild cerebral palsy so gets tired easy and at times he simply is too tired to walk. And he falls a lot too and needs a cuddle.

Roo often doesn't move for a day, then makes up for it next day - it might be worth you getting a doppler at home and getting the MW to show you how to use it so you can check up on him yourself? More than anything to stop you worrying so much and bringing your blood pressure up that high again!

In case anyone's trying to do a budget, it looks like SMP and SPP will be £123.06 a week from 5 April 2009 (currently £117.18).

    Thanks Sami, Starbump and MrsTine,

Ex has very little to do with the children, phone call every six months if he can be bothered  - so i don't think they should have his name.

My name isn't important to me - its my dads name and he and mum divorced when I was a baby, so i don't know him.

OH name is important to him - all that male carrying on the family name stuff!!

And marriage - i don't know! We do intend to be together forever, and have a great relationship (5 years now and we still like each other :p ) but marriage is a bit of an issue.

OH doesn't see the point of it, and tbh, neither do I when I think about it. Neither of us is religious, and i couldn't think of anything worse than parading round in a big fluffy dress! If we did ever get married, i think it would be a 'just the two of us sneaking off to the registry office' to do it.

Or maybe I just change mine and childrens name by deed poll so we all match!

I had a nice quiet wedding ;) planned it in 6 weeks, cost less than £1000 :money:
and everyone was tucked up in bed for 11pm

I have a friend who changed her last name by deed poll as she wanted her son to have his dads name and didn't want the hassle of diff names, I think these days it really doesn't matter to anyone who's called what :)

    oh those talking about MATB1 earlier the offical line is;
"medical evidence of the date when your baby is due. This is normally on the maternity certificate, form MATB1, given to you by your doctor or midwife no earlier than 20 weeks before the week your baby is due."
I asked the MW after my scan if I could have it (I was 19+2 then) and she said they can't issue one until you have reached 20wks exactly.
MWs never think about it so once ur 20 wks ask them. our surgery are happy to leave a note for MW on their fancy computers so they will fill it in and leave on reception so you don't need to use up an appointment just for getting the form

I spent a bit more than Sami but was at a lovely hotel and nothing religious in sight :) We had the people there who mattered to us so although not massive it wasn't tiny either - was great being able to have a party with everyone we know, and I'm afraid I always wanted my white wedding... I wanted to look pretty even if it was just for one day... Glad I did it too :) It was such a great day and I love looking at the pictures :)
