I did competitions last year for about 6 months and won loads (Check my signature!) My best prizes were a designer scarf - worth £200  and an ipod dock that just turned up one day with no word of which competition it was from! I also won books, chocolate, make-up etc.

I only entered competitions for prizes we would like or would do for Xmas/birthday presents for family members. I should warn you though, it is highly addictive - once that first prize arrives, you just can't stop entering!

Also my top tip would be to read Velvetgloves comping guide sticky at the top of the competition time forum as this is full of everything you need to know, a sort of "faq's to comping". Good luck!
    Thanks for that xxx

  • Thanks for the slingmeet website Fritha...not sure that slings have made it as far as Wolverhampton yet though ;) there was a bit of chat in march last year but it fizzled out.

Will see if I can get one sorted once Bubba arrives - I may even get Keely and Krystal involved!

Right so best bit out of the way pics should be here http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=63388&l=5f5b3&id=541141775 also added to the FB group :D

So got up a bit late (as usual!) only managed to down one glass of water at about 9.20
got to hosp and a nice man gave us his parking ticket so we didn't have to pay :T
got taken straight into scan room 15 mins early (9.45) so not much in my bladder and bubs is nicely tucked into the right hand side of bump right down in my pelvis so sonographer had a hard time getting the right shots but did get them (pics not the best but will get more at private scan in march so not too upset)
Baby measured diff to Chris its got ave length legs (c's were/are long) but did have Chris's big head and pot belly, its got all the things its ment to 4 heart chambers, 2 kidneys etc. we declined soft markers so nothing to report there.
I noticed it said placenta anterior, am i right in thinking that means its on the outside?

Midwife was a bit useless  she had no idea what the HiPG was, couldn't do my wee or BP as both her her index fingers were in massive bandages  so she got someone else to come in to do that, my BP is even lower  but she said it wasn't low enough to worry about as I usually have BP in the low end (I am worried tho coz its 85/50 lowest it ever got last time was 90/60 and that was after about 30 wks, I don't want it getting lower or to be fainting while I'm home alone with Chris!)
She also was a bit narky about me not letting her take blood but said if thats what I want then that's fine (I'm sure they are all vampires desperate for my blood!)
So just need to make an app for a few weeks time with my MW at GPs and don't go back to that place unless I go over.

After the app i went down to the ask about complaining (about what happened at 12wk scan) and they got the manager of the centre to come talk to me, she was really nice about it and gave me all the info i needed to complain so will have to work on writing my letter now!
    think that's everything! xx
