Can I recommend sling meets? You can meet other slinging mums and get a feel for different slings and which would be best. I went while I was pregnant and it really hewlped me get the hang of slings. I use a wrap sling and I love it, it's really easy to use (once you get the hang of it) and because there's so much material on my back it's really comfortable :-)Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -

AM I had 4 sheets for crib 2 on at a time as AF said I never ran out of clean ones so must be a good numberI got them from MC
but got a good deal on cotbed sheets from kiddicare once i discovered that wonderful online shop!
just catching up and then I'll do a post about my scan 2day xx0 -

Does anyone on here do competitions, now i've got loads of spare time on me hands, I'm gonna start entering them from the comps board, well you got to be in it to win it!
I did competitions last year for about 6 months and won loads (Check my signature!) My best prizes were a designer scarf - worth £200  and an ipod dock that just turned up one day with no word of which competition it was from! I also won books, chocolate, make-up etc.
I only entered competitions for prizes we would like or would do for Xmas/birthday presents for family members. I should warn you though, it is highly addictive - once that first prize arrives, you just can't stop entering!
Also my top tip would be to read Velvetgloves comping guide sticky at the top of the competition time forum as this is full of everything you need to know, a sort of "faq's to comping". Good luck! :beer:Value of prizes 2010 - 2017: £8374 Wins 2022: Magic set

The Sun have used the name 'Rosie' when it should have been 'Sophie'.
Do you think we should ask for jobs and proof editors???
Did you know that the level that the sun is written at is a reading age of about 7 and the broadsheets like the times are at RA of 15 :cool:0 -
I always was the 1st to be asked to proof read stuff at work, but I don't think I'm good enough at all the grammar rules to have a proper job -humph being paid to read could be a fun job!

I tend to do a fair bit of proof reading in my job too, especially when we have work done out of the office, but I am not overly confident in my grammer skills either. I like to keep working on them though.

MW said to me to take in a pillow if possible, as there are never enough and you might need an extra one to help you support baby when you are feeding... but I've got 2 bags so far, plus my handbag, and I've not put in a towel or my washbag, so I'm not sure I can manage to fit in a pillow as well!
