DH is fairly good about us buying stuff secondhand on ebay. Both of us insisted the cotbed, mattress, cot sheets were brand new. But we got a Winnie the Pooh nappy stacker, curtains, and light drop (is that the right word? I'm having one of those scattered mornings!) on ebay for practicallly nothing! And they all matched. We did cave in and buy a new over-the-cot wooden changing table (our backs were killing us from leaning over to change nappies on beds and such) - was £40 but sooooo worth it! We still use it with DS, and will definitely continue to use it with this baby as well.

  • Congratulations ChasingButterflies!

Thanks for the advice...I've actually got a Mamas & Papas store on my door step. It's only just opened so I'll drop in & have a look. :T

I spent sooo much money on my Quinny Buzz set that next time I don't want to splash out so much if Ruby isn't going to be using it for long.

Speaking of which...Are buggy boards compatible with the Quinny Buzz? I suppose once Ruby is happy to walk more there would be nothing to stop me getting one of these & then I can still use this. Hmmmm...So many things to consider. :rotfl:

Hey I just bought the twin aria mentioned before in mamas and papas down from £270 to £150(inclusive of footmuffs and raincovers). There will be 20 months between my two but I decided against the boards as I do a lot of walking and sometimes if alexander wants to sleep then the board would be no good. I might get one that fits on the silver cross i already have for short journeys and see how it goes.

I know its only early for me to be buying puschairs but that was sucha amassive bargain I coldnt turn it down. I guess worst happens and I could sell it on ebay later in the year but i prefer not to think about that right now.
  • Krystal - I was saving my calling on you for when I am in a complete state tearing my hair out with a son wailing like a banshee because he doesn't like the taste of my nipples (or whatever!)

Your approach seems far more civilised :rotfl:

Mmmm...MFD you have given me an idea. hubby wants to go away this weekend, can i convince him Petersfield is the place to visit so we can go to Kiddisave :D:D

Maybe we should have an MSE pregnancy meet there so we can all go shoppoing :rotfl:
  • Thanks chick - won't be long til you get one :D

Why do you want longer delivery times from Kiddicare? Another week and you will be in the same panic I am in!!

    Is it superstition?

My mother said last week that she has a load of stuff for me but she is keeping it at home until Bubba arrives  Now, can somebody explain to me how I am supposed to know what to buy when people refuse to let me know what they have bought!!

oohh Krystal what size are the curtains and do u have a pic? Chris's room is minty green abit like the right hand side of this page his curtains are bluey lilac with green on the bottom (they sound gross like that lol the green is hills and there's sheep on the hills :)) but bubs room is lilac so could do a swap as all our windows are the same size upstairs

AM: I have the ocean wonders bouncey chair, It has amazing hypnotic powers over crying babies! I think its been replaced by the rainforest one now but if ur gonna spend £40 on a chair then the rainforest one is deff the way to go IMHO my friend has it and its just as good as the ocean one :D

    rainforest one - http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx

We also have this rocker at home and this one at my mums both vibrate which is v good and they las a bit longer as Chris will still sit in his to watch a spot of TV
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.
