I think new cot is the only way Caz, i think I'm gonna have to get one for bubs too I don't see chris being happy to have a grown up bed by then, plus I don't think I could make it safe for him to not be in his cotbed we just don't have the space to keep his room free from stuff

  • Can't remember who said what...

My DH get's really moany within about 15 mins in ASDA. He tries to sneak things into the trolley too, just like a toddler really. Bless him lol

I didn't gain a single lb with the twins until at least 16 weeks if i remember right, although had a huge bump v.early on.

I got maternity bra's from M&S and mothercare. Didn't find either very comfy but my boobs are "enhanced" so i don't need to wear one when not pregnant, found it hard adjusting to wearing undies lol.

I did pregnancy pilates and yoga in the past. Can't get about much with my health so used videos and dvds and found them quite good as you can stop and take a break whenever you want. I found it quite exhausting so was nice to be able to lie down for abit and then start again. It would be good to have someone there to help make sure you're getting the best out of it though. I found the pilates one good as they do it for the 1st tri and then for when you have bumpage in the way. It's meant to be really good for bladder control and getting back into shape quicker afterwards so definitely worth a go.

I was at the fertility clinic today for beta's and really pleased with the results. Must say i'm shocked at how high they are though; hCG almost 600 and progesterone 100+. We know the exact conception date so they should only be about 100 and 30 respectively. Hope it's a good sign. So glad those magic lines weren't all in my imagination lol
  • I'm the other way round - I went from a very rare name (if you google my full name you find me, and a lady in Kentucky, and that's it!) as my grandad was polish. It's a common last name in poland/germany but not combined with a very english first name. And now I have a very english last name too , so there are lots of us.

Hello ladies, you should take a look at this website - www.salemole.com - for when the next Mothercare and Mamas & Papas sales are on.

I bagged loads of bargains for my cousin's newborn - particularly babygrows, which she went through like lightning!!

I find that it's actually still cheaper to buy stuff brand new off ebay. If you select new with tags, type in the brand and under £1, you should find loads of fab stuff really cheap. Quite nice having lots of parcels to open too lol

We got a ton of stuff for DS off ebay - lovely woman was selling a whole bunch of baby Gap items that were like brand new for dirt cheap! We paid about £35-40 (including shipping) for over easily over £250-300 worth of clothing. I've saved them to use for this baby as most of it was fairly gender neutral as well.

    hello ladies
thought i would explain the per centile measurements.
your baby's weight is plotted on a graph which it can be from 0.2 - 100.
If your baby is plotted on the 75th centile it means that out of every 100 baby's yours would be No 75, which means 74 would weigh less, your would be no 75 and 25 would weight more. all are within the range of average.

if your baby is on the 98th centile, out of every 100 babies 97 would weigh less, yours would be 98 and only 2 would weigh more!!!

    Hmmm did i make sense?!!!!!

but it tends to be innaccurate before they are born :) but when they are plotted after they are born you can follow the growth chart and you can see what the height / weight is expected for your baby at 16 yrs old!! (in theory!!!!!!) not felt too ill today yippeee

  • Ooops i didn't even notice :o Maybe "she" just doesn't have much MSE knowledge so thinks that's the best tip since sliced bread lol :p I think ebay's great for clothes, esp for kids. I get loads of stuff for family from there. Although several items have gone "missing" over the last couple of weeks  I'm really miffed about it because i loved some of them, esp when it's stuff that you can't find in the shops anymore :( I wonder if these people ever intended to send it, wouldn't surprise me if they never even had it in the first place!! I paid an extra £10 postage to get stuff in time for Christmas...it's still not here  Ok..enough ranting about irresponsible ebayers :o

8pm and ready for bed already! The house is a complete tip, i hate the mess but too exhausted to move so it will just have to stay messy :o
