1st scan tomorrow and I am soo excited !!!:T

DD is really looking forward to seeing a picture of her little brother or sister!! I almost think she is more excited than me !!:D

Only downside is that I have to go for my colposcopy check up on Monday which I am not looking forward to at all as I will probably have to get a stitch while I am there !!

Oh the joys of pregnancy !!!!!

I thought you were as far along as me and they have been measuring my fundus height since 16 weeks. Is that not the norm then?

I'm 35+ weeks, and haven't had my fundus measured once in this pregnancy (or been weighed!). Other two are 11 and 8, and i got measured all the time with them. It seems our LHA don't measure now as they see it as too inaccurate.

Had consultant appointment yesterday to check babys position (DS was undiagnosed breech and ended in emergency c/sec) - but this one, is head down and ready to go so will be ok with VBAC - fingers crossed!
I wasn't actually aware this was an issue as DD, my second baby, was a perfect normal birth, so i'd assumed this would be the same again.

Consultant scared us saying we don't need to come to hospital again, until she's coming out   , and to continue with community midwife care.

Consultant did suprise me - apparently 85% of mums who've had c/sec, will need another. I thought that sounded rather high!

Oh - and previous c/sec scars will only split in 1/1000 pregnancys - how reassuring  !

Was thinking about going along. My Mum was a BF Counsellor for them a long time ago, and I've read a couple of thier books. Noticed they've got BF classes for expectant Mums running in my area, so thought I might go.
I definitely reccomend it. Chances are, the people running it are the same people that will support you after baby arrives so it's good to build up a relationship... Plus, women who see other women breastfeed are more likely to successfully breastfeed themselves... We love to get pregnant women through the doors of our groups!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

Glad you've said that. It does say pregnant ladies welcome, but I feel a bit silly going to these things when I don't have a baby yet! I'm really keen to breastfeed, so anything that can help is got to be good. I think Mum being so Pro Breastfeeding affected me! When I was 4 or 5, there were often ladies sitting on Mums sofa, being helped with breastfeeding. I'd like to do that, if I successfully breastfeed.

I'm looking forward to meeting the bf'ing counsellors at my ante natal classes, I'd like to go to the support before hand if its preg ladies welcome too but I worry about Chris running round trying to kiss other peeps babies while they're feeding, if they're 1st timers I don't want o scare them with my son!

You'd probably find sami that a few of the helpers will have their toddlers with them, and during school holidays bigger children too (Not to mention the longer term breastfeeders)... Nobody minds at all! It was through a support group that I started my training, I am so glad I stuck with the feeding!!!
