Finally after my 20 week scan today feel brave enough to add myself to the list. I am 22 weeks. Sonographer was lovely. Despite my 6th sense I am having a boy. Discovered today it is a girl! Sonographer said they can only ever say with 98% certainty but that I can confidently buy pink.

Also decided to join local aqua natal class, anyone joined a class is it like keep fit in water??

We have also signed up for NCT classes hopefully to make some local friends with similar due dates as this is our first baby.

Have enjoyed reading the forum so now determined to try to join the chat.

    H xx

Congrats on joining team pink H!!

I go to aquanatal - it is just bobbing around in the water for a bit to music! And then we get the 'noodles' out (long floats) and use them for a bit.
Best bit is you get to know other pregnant ladies in your area and our class is run by midwives so you get to have a chat about anything you are worried about too!

Best way to join in is just to dive in the deep end. Most of it is idle gossip anyway ;):D

I think Bubba found a new place to prod today because whatever he was doing seemed to make me leak in an entirely different way. Methinks some panty liners are in order :o

I'm quite pleased. I know its normal to not produce anything before the birth, but its something I've been worried about. I'd convinced myself I've got 'broken' boobies.

Thanks for the reminder, must do some more pelvic floor exercises!

Ha, so much for "I'm not tired.." - I wasn't, but I feel better for the two and a half hour nap I've had.

I meant to ask when we were talking about aquanatal classes - do you find out about them through your midwife or just phone the local pool? Thanks :)

how far along are you skinty? I have had the same bump since 6 weeks! I can feel the uterus by feeling my pubic bone and gently pressing above it, I feel something hard and round and i can feel it rising each day. I guess I kind of know what i am looking for cos I am medical. But what surprised me is thaT I felt it when I was 10 and a bit weeks, cos usually it does not rise above the pubic bone until 12 weeks. I also get the squashed up feeling whenever i bend down or put my shoes on - feels like i git a football in my stomach!!

let you know how the scan goes tomorrow!!

I've no idea what I'm poking about for!
Does it rise gradually or will it suddenly pop up one morning? Could already be there for all I know! I definitely curve outwards between my hip bones where it was once flat and I've got bigger round the waist.. It's only noticeable to me and OH though. Someone at work said to me today, "You've not got much of a bump yet then?!" - I'm only just 12wks for God's sake!
