I think its just to dangerous for the job i do cause i work long days and spend all day on my feet with big pots off tea and coffee,plus the train tilts and we all fall over now most off the time if i fell and did something to the baby i think it did actually happen that a girl carried on working on board and she had a knock on board and lost her baby.
But its fine to travel just makes most people sick travelling normally so god knows what its like when pregnant,strangly though we do have loads off women who go into labour on the train ???!!!

Sami - I think the FB group is a fab idea - I'm not joining quite yet as I haven't told all my friends, and although its a private group it will still show on my feed that I have joined IYSWIM

I haven't really got anything to add, but I have been keeping uptodate with all you ladies, all the cute new arivals and newbies. I have my first midwife appointment on Thurs morning - I'm now 9 +5.

To those asking about early scans, I had a normal scan at 7 weeks (my dates - 6
+3 by their dates) and it was a normal ultrasound.

thanks lisabell, i think im just worrying about everything now (which is so unlike me in my first pregnancy) and im off to see the SIL in a couple of weeks which involves 2 trains

I normally get travel sick plus anxiety attacks if I have to travel more than an hour away from home esp if on my own but I went on the tippy train wigan - london then tube then another train to get me to southend-on-sea AKA my then job's HO and back again 2days later when (unbeknown to me) I was between 4 n 6 wks gone with Chris and had no trouble at all no panic no sickness!

Ps, I live nxt door but 2 to the train station so if I go over due I'm gonna ride the train back n forth to the nxt station!

Hi can i join you. I'm charlotte i'm 26, married and have a dd who is 2 in february. I found out yesterday that i'm pregnant so i work out i'm due 12th September 2009!
I'm really excited but also nervous as my dd was 9lb 8oz so i'm worried what this one will be!

Finally after my 20 week scan today feel brave enough to add myself to the list. I am 22 weeks. Sonographer was lovely. Despite my 6th sense I am having a boy. Discovered today it is a girl! Sonographer said they can only ever say with 98% certainty but that I can confidently buy pink.

Also decided to join local aqua natal class, anyone joined a class is it like keep fit in water??

We have also signed up for NCT classes hopefully to make some local friends with similar due dates as this is our first baby.

Have enjoyed reading the forum so now determined to try to join the chat.
