MFD: I hate new years
Don't know what all the fuss is about!
we are going up to see my sister in Beverley (nr Hull) there will be playing of guitar hero on her bf's PS3 and some board games, depending on how Chris is feeling we might walk down to the minster for the bells or just listen through the open window! :rotfl: I think he'll be settled in bed but you never know with him when we're visiting.
Then on new yrs day we're having a roast chicken followed by sis's homemade apple crumble
We've always just played games on new yrs as I said I don't get why people insist on having a big party (some may say I'm a party pooper)0 -

Having a bit of a thing for crisps and and aything bland at the mo... cant face anything that smells or has sauce... plain hula hoops are a fav at the mo!!
Thanks for all the advice x
HEEHEE!!! someone close to me! YAAAAAY! I'm only up in Bicester - you might be pleased to know in Bucks you get the nuchal fold scan through the NHS (unlike a lot of other areas including Oxon grrrrr) which is a huge bonus if you ask me
BTW the swimming place in aylesbury does aquanatal classes when you're over a certain time gone and apparently they are very good
I found rich tea biscuits were good, but everyone is differentPersonally i ate so much fruit - especially satsumas and bananas - they tasted fresh (and when you are intimately aquainted with your loo you start wanting something fresh...) which was important to me and then lots of milk later on seemed to help settle things but some people I think can't face that either - walk round Tesco and just put ANYTHING you fancy in the trolley.

I hadn't really thought about it yet but a friend seemed very keen to know earlier and was asking me.. does anyone know of anyone who's actually had a c-section because of being too slim (hip-wise I assume) to give birth naturally?
Can't say I'm that keen - it's the cutting of my skin and not driving for weeks afterward that get me! I'm all for giving it a bash naturally, but then again I don't fancy any of this "getting stuck halfway out" business either! :eek:0 -

MFD: I say be a rebel like SB
Mine was pointless 1st time round even though i had an "easy" labour the MW did read it but obviously you don't remember something by reading it once so she asked/checked with each bit, Mine this time mostly is on the things I want such as baby gets vit k injection, I have that other injection, one of us will be cutting the cord, baby delivered nice and messy straight to me :rotfl: not much else to it everything else is wait n see. I'm obv not going to say I will not allow ventouse/forceps now coz I don't know what will happen :A HTH

.... walk round Tesco and just put ANYTHING you fancy in the trolley.
I do that - then wonder why my shopping bill is so high!
Grapes are another idea, or other such watery fruit (melon?) will help with the dehydration (someone correct me if needs be!). Twink's hobnobs (see Old Sytle board for recipe) are another "something dry" option - you can flavour them with ginger too, so you get ginger for nausea and oats for energy in one!0 -
