Elle is just saying that her travel bands are helping her. It might be worth a try. Think you have to ride it out otherwise but i do think you feel a bit better if you can actually eat something. xDS Anthony Steven 07.06.92DD Becky Emma 24.01.94DD Rose Grace Jean 12.05.090 -
angela, is your EDD still 5th July?
I was thinking the same as candice about the limbs but I wasn't sure if that was just the fuzzy picture we were looking at. I was 11+1 when I got mine but if you're still due on 5th July that makes you 13+1 (doesn't it?!) so that might explain it! I did get waving too so I'm not worried0 -
Aylesbury Girl - welcome to the gang
Don't supposed you're in Aylesbury Buck are you? If you are then you're 15 mins down the road from me!
Drink water... and keep drinking it no matter how sick you feel. If you can't keep it down go and see your GP as they can prescribe you something to help (not stop) the nausea... Do make sure you drink enough - I ended up dehydrated and in hospital for 2 nights on a drip to rehydrate me and get some food in me by injecting the drugs to stop me throwing them back up again... not fun so try to avoid it
Eat anything you happen to fancy no matter how bad for you - I went through a definite McDonalds phase for some reason - especially whilst I was sick (and I am talking up to about week 18 btw... so much for "it'll stop at 12 weeks!"). Dry foods helped and eating before I moved first thing - ie getting OH to bring up a piece or two of toast made a huge difference.
Some find that travel sickness bands helped, others swear by ginger biscuits etc but none of them worked for me...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

They made me 12 + 6 and gave me a date of 8th July, 3 days different from mine xDS Anthony Steven 07.06.92DD Becky Emma 24.01.94DD Rose Grace Jean 12.05.090 -

Eating definitely helps too. Dry toast, flapjack and Jaffa Cakes are all rescue foods for me!The more I eat, the better I feel so I force myself and by the time I'm halfway through the first piece of toast I'm feeling better enough to eat the rest. Eating definitely works better than drinking for me. Maybe try chewy sweets too.. I have a renewed addiction to Chewits!
ETA: MrsT is right, you still need to drink, but I mean eating something first sorts me out well enough to then be able to drink something. I know what you (aylesburygirl) mean about feeling icky about the drink in your stomach - I figured the food would be harder to get back up than the drink.. (sorry!)
These are the travel bands I have - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Design-Go-Acustraps-Sickness-Control/dp/B000WIWCVK0 -
Calling all you 'old-hands' - I am looking at writing my birth plan with my MW tomorrow so I have been trying to look it all up...
And I can't help thinking that I am wasting my time! I'm a first timer so I haven't got a clue really...and I am kind of assuming that I will not be struck dumb when I go into labour so I could kind of talk about things then - as in tell them what I do or don't want/like.
I appreciate I need to think about it but it all feels a bit wierd

re: getting a breach baby to turn, apparently sitting on a kitchen style chair back to front means you are in a good position to encourage baby to turn, otherwise, get on all fours and using your nose trace a figure of eight pattern on the carpet/floor - apparently it really works! Otherwise a birthing ball is great and relly comfy for sitting on for watching tv and things.
MFD we are going out for a quiet dinner with our friends that have just got married - come join us in Edinburgh!
I had something else to say as wella nd I've forgotten it!r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -

MFD... I think its good to have some idea of what you would like in an ideal world but also to go with an open mind. In the end, so long as you and bump are both healthy thats all that matters. They are not going to do anything to endanger you so I think you have to realise anything they advise is for the best xDS Anthony Steven 07.06.92DD Becky Emma 24.01.94DD Rose Grace Jean 12.05.090
