Im so tired today and not too happy with OH. He was on night shift last night and it was his last shift before xmas. He normally finishes at 7am but as it was xmas they let them away early at 3.30.....

Well my OH thought it would be a good time to go to Asda and do the xmas shop. He came home and woke us up....OH and mu DD ( aged 14 ) went shopping. Came home and then fell straight asleep....

I was still awake and had to get up for work this morning!!! I could fall asleep on my desk!!!

sparkle I can assure you I'd have done more than snap hun! So don't feel bad about it :) Uncontrolled kids in shops are my BIGGEST pet peeve ever! If they DO do something they shouldn't I'd at least expect an appology from the parent! I don't expect that the mans OHs would be in the LEAST impressed if she found out how he'd spoken to you either and would probably be mortified that her child had whacked you with a trolley like that.

I'm having another annoying day work wise... I'm working from home as DH has my car to go food shopping (yes I am mad - I let HIM do the christmas food shop! He does have a list tho... please tell me it'll be ok!) as his is in for a big service... the bad news is it went in yesterday and they won't be finished till tomorrow! mainly because the belt they ordered turned out to be the wrong one and the new one will get there today. The badder news is that the belt change involves taking the whole engine out near enough... original quote about £600 - £650... I just hope it still is or we're gonna be struggling! I usually have a buffer in savings of about £500 but this month I've had my insurance, his insurance AND £350 for an emergency flight to Denmark when my nan passed away so I won't be overpaying any of my debts and I think christmas is too expensive :rotfl:
Just to add to it all then work haven't paid all my expenses and haven't had the courtesy of telling me that they weren't going to pay it (insert VERY strong expletive) - I knew some were over the deadline and had been sent back to the director to approve or ask me to explain to see if they could be approved (I'd think being very poorly and off sick nearly a month etc would be a good excuse...) but no-one ever asked be about them although I chased for them. No-one ever replied so I assumed no news was good news... appears not... so now I am trying to find out if they were approved but just didn't make it back to accounts before the cut off (and I know they are VERY strict on their cut off day!) which is fine - at least then I'll get them next month which isn't ideal but I'm ok with that - after all they WERE over the dates but if they have decided to refuse them and just not tell me and not give me the oppertunerty to defend why they were late I'll flip my lid big time!

    Rant over :)

  • She isn't actually sick just fells it, the answer seems to be cheese and pickle sandwiches, I dunno either.

It's a bit wired at the moment, I'm sure I'll get used to the idea but being the man your sort of on the outside of things. We have been married 6 years and are very happy together so I suppose someone up there decided it was our time.

    I wanted a cat.

    I've just seen a moses b in mothercare sale for £28 :T

Right - I'm pretty sure we'll get this one. We have a mix of mamas & papas sunshine safari & toys r us jungle fever stuff - so this will fit in brilliantly! Will aim to get a stand off freecycle though - I don't want a rocking one and refuse to pay £20 for one! (I know this baby is longer than the last one, so don't expect it to be in there as long) Thanks again

You sound like my hubby... Only he wanted a dog... and we have 3 cats a 4 yo and a baby on the way...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Ok advice number one... DON'T tell her you wanted a cat and not a child!
But ask her how she feels about it... she might not feel ready either - that's a very personal choice that only she can make... Not only does she stare in the face of becoming a parent like you... her body is doing weird and wacky things and it's running riot with hormones just to make it worse... She'll be feeling very bad and if she was on the pill then she'll be asking herself loads of questions too about how it could have happened... Thing to remember is that pills are only 98% effective... When I was young I fell pegnant and had an early miscarriage whilst on the pill and it was very frightening to be honest.
Make sure you both keep talking :)

  • We think were pretty sure why the pill failed, we were both ill with that sickness virus for a few days then she forgot to take some, oops. We have played with fire so many times in the past and didn't get burned, I think our luck run out. :D

coveredinbees - I wanted a kitten but hubby wasn't having any of it. Then we decided to try for a baby as it would take us a couple of years probably - then bang first time and we were pregnant! In a tounge in cheek way I think we both wonder what would have happened had hubby just agreed to the kitten :D:D:D

Watched finding neverland last night and at the end was absolutely sobbing into DH - his t-shirt was soaked through and I had the whole red ringed eye look going on. He was very sweet about it...... I was exhausted afterwards but the dreaded insomnia came back last night and I read a whole agatha christie novel and watched BBC24 news for several hours

    having a quiet day today........
