Oh, my fave bit! (in LA, not the bringing on labour quest!)

I've just added up OH's presents and I've still got £15ish to spend on him. I don't feel like I've got him anything he's actually said he WANTS. He claimed there is nothing he wants.. Grrr!

What a shame its too late to get him exactly what he asked for! http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/nothing/index.html

  • Feeling lots brighter this morning! :j Thanks for indulging me last night ladies...:grouphug:

Sami, I will be offered a 'Sooty' on Boxing Day. I didn't bother last time as I was booked in the next day for inducement so thought I would leave my dignity intact for one last day :D.

Thanks for the [STRIKE]offer[/STRIKE] suggestion, MFD, but ouch! :rotfl:

3onits, I'm beginning to think that way tbh :o.

  • Morning all :D

SB - HUGE labour vibes for you today.

Well we told some extended family we saw last night and that went really well and we told one set of our best friends who live 3 hours away by phone and they both couldn't stop screaming.

We then told our best friends who live not far from us (2 guys) and we thought they were going to be not that interested - How wrong were we!! Both of them were in complete shock and then they both started crying because they said they were just so happy for us, which then in turn set me off.

All in all we couldn't have asked for a better reaction and it appeared we saved the best for last :D

More people to tell this evening and when we see them over Christmas although I think the reaction we got last night will be impossible to beat.

    Morning all,

Tinkerbell - that is great news. really pleased for you!!!!!

A few nightmare days for me before we finish up for the Christmas break. I really need to get through sooooo much work and will be working like a rocket (well that is the idea) to get through some of it.

Woke up this morning with my belly feeling all tight. Think it's becuase i am worrying about getting everything done in time.

Unfortunatley need to go into Town at lunch as i need to get hubby's present. He doesn't really want anything, neither do i so it is a bit of a challenge, but need to have something to open on Christmas morning.

SB - sorry i missed your posts last night. glad you are feeling better today. Let's hope Jamie decides to make an appearance today so you can still be home for Christmas.

And NOT happy i missed Love Actualy last night, although i wouldn't have been able to stay awake to watch it.

    Take care

  • Morning all, midwife today, hope everything will be OK today as Blood pressure is likely to go sky high over christmas cos I have my parents on xmas day and going to OH's on boxing day! Taking Millie with me, so she can hear heartbeat.

Friend of mine only sent a parcel to us yesterday by parcelforce 24 so have been up since 6 as was convinced they would come when I was in the shower, now am convinced they will come when I'm at the midwife.

Septemberbaby, are we sending you labour vibes or are we sending stay where you are for now vibes?

My SIL's birthday is Xmas day and I can't tell you how much she hates it (even now and she's 39!) and My sisters birthday is New Years Day which she says is even worse cos everyone is hungover and no one wants to go out.

Hi all.. For the first time, I've actually been sick this morning! :( Took my completely by surprise and I got all shaky afterwards. I should have been at work at half eight, but I txt my boss to say I was going to get ready slowly and get in late. She really doesn't want to pick a fight with me about it this morning! :(

Have got masses to do when I get there too. Might try to work with my door shut and no interuptions but it seems like everyone wants to see me for a Christmas chat these days!

Hope everyone had a good day - AF and mooki, take it steady! :D
I'm not going anywhere yet, but Merry Christmas to those who only pop in occasionally and might only see this today! xx

You go careful too Elle :D

I have only thrown up twice since being pregnant, unfortunately once was at work and once at home. I know what you mean about being all shaky after. I hate throwing up and am still thankfull for only 'feeling constantly sick' from about 6 weeks to 13 weeks.

  • Morning all,

This is my last day to work until next Monday when I have my 20 week scan!

Mrs Tine, I have seen and played with the icandy Pear tandem pram. I think it is lightweight and the "best" double buggy we have seen. The drawback is that for the pram, 2 car seats and 2 costs, it will cost over £800!!!
